Kaiser’s

The Dahlem neighbourhood is supposedly quite affluent but obviously in decline, with two former bank branches now empty and the sushi restaurant across the road has also closed its doors. But this Kaiser’s is still alive and thriving and popular with both residents and students and staff from the Free University that is close nearby. It’s a smaller store that stocks the necessaries for daily life, with somewhat old fashioned interior as most Kaiser’s stores.
Staff at the bakery corner is always very friendly but not all other cashiers are. I was refused contactless card payment twice over the last months by uninformed staff even though stickers indicated that Visa payWave was available, and it has worked perfectly in between. Also I was asked to sign the receipt even as is is not required. Management should train their employees better as this is a cause of frustration.

Kleiner Markt mit gutem Sortiment. Wenige und sehr enge Parkfläche.

Sehr gute Auswahl, aber wenige Parkplätze und ein männlicher, jüngerer Mitarbeiter sehr unfreundlich

In diesem Supermarkt sind wir schon lange Kunde, schon in der Zeit als er noch «Mema» hieß.
Die Auswahl ist mehr als ausreichend, wie überall eben auch. Aber der Unterschied ist das Personal, es ist reichlich vorhanden, hat Zeit für die Kunden und ist überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich. Lieber zahle ich (vielleicht) etwas mehr, genieße aber dieses einmalige Einkaufen. Hut ab und weiter so !
