Oh did I mention the rude chef /​receptionist.
Save your money. Far better places for the same price and far better quality.

Wir waren eine Nacht in Berlin und sind bei solchen Kurzbesuchen immer auf der Suche nach einer preiswerten aber dennoch guten Unterkunft. Mit Ibis sind wir hierbei nie schlecht gefahren. Die Anreise war Problemlos und gleich bei der Tiefgarage waren wir Glücklich. Wie und wo kann man sonst so entspannt und gut Parken. An der Rezeption sagte man uns das wir auch nur 5, statt der sonst höheren Kosten bezahlen müssen. Also gleich nochmal gefreut.
Das Zimmer war wie erwartet spartanisch eingerichtet aber das wussten wir ja. Somit alles gut. Für 1 – 2 Nächte eine entspannte Sache. Zudem waren Sie sauber, was in erster Linie wichtig ist
Die Nacht war (Sa. zum So.) für Berlin relativ ruhig mit leicht geöffneten Fenster.
Einige Nachbarn haben wir ab und zu gehört. entweder bei einer Diskussion oder leise den TV — war aber ok und nicht wirklich störend.
Das Frühstück, extra zu buchen, war voll ok. Es gab keine riesige Auswahl aber dennoch genügend um abwechslungsreich satt zu werden.
Verschiedene Brötchen, Aufstrich, Salami, Käse, div. Butter, allerlei Getränke und wer nicht so spät zum essen geht (wir waren kurz vor 9), bekommt auch entspannt einen Platz ;D. Ab ca. 10 Uhr war es dann schon ganz schön voll.
WLAN war Verfügbar, haben wir aber nicht gebraucht und somit nicht genutzt.
Klare Pluspunkte für:

— nette und freundliche Rezeption
Soweit eine klare Empfehlung — 5 Sterne weil es Preis-​Leistung passt. Wer mehr will kann sich auch ein anderes, teureres Hotel nehmen.

Ibis hotels are definitely consistent. It is no frills, but it’s clean and a step above a hostel and an EasyHotel in that you get a window and a few channels of TV included in the cost of the room. Most of the staff was friendly and the location was good. For the cost, you can’t beat it.

I loved the idea of Easy Hotel when it first started. I just wanted a safe, clean, and quite place to sleep without paying a fortune. As I grew older I got tired of paying for the TV, the room being so small there was no place for your bag (and I travel super light) and little to no control of the room temp. I think Ibis Budget has perfected this basic model. The rooms are smallish but not cramped. The tv is basic, but free, same with the WIFI, and there is a proper shower. All the Ibis Budget rooms I have stayed are all the same, so the only thing I can really comment on is location and staff and I was happy with both. The staff was friendly and the location is great if your comfortable riding the light rail or jumping on a bus, it’s also pretty close to Alexanderplatz station.
