Cicli Berlinetta

Today I had my first close encounter with Cicli Berlinetta because of a flat tire (mostly because of the glass on the Bösebrücke on the Bornholmer strasse, which they never wipe clean in the winter).
Because my tires and wheels are not standard and this store is close to my home I sent them an email with the question if they would be able to fix my bike. They replied that was no problem and I could bring it by. When I arrived at the store later that day I was a bit confused because it was completely dark and had a sign on the door saying they would only open for customers with appointments. I wasn’t sure if a I had one (at least not on a specific time), but knocked on the windows a few times until they opened the door. Apparently they were taking pictures of bikes for their website and did not want to be bothered by regular customers, but me bringing by the bike was no problem. I was also reassured by the guys in the store that this was a one-​time thing and normally they are open to everyone. Staff is not just German, seems multinational and all speaking English very well.
The store focuses clearly on racing bikes, with a preference for classical Italian models that they also renovate on request. I can’t tell you much about the prices but I think they have a web shop as well.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear that my bike would be fixed within a few hours so I could pick it up again the same day. Upon my return I heard that he not only fixed my tire but also picked out a lot of other glass, tightened the chain and it felt almost like new again. The costs were very reasonable (20 euros for the working time and new tire). I will definitely bring my bike back soon for a full service turn and this may result in 5 stars instead of 4!

Hmmm… eher unfreundliches Gehabe und wohl der falsche Laden, wenn man nur eine Kette kaufen will.

…ein laden mit unfreundlicherem personal ist wohl kaum zu finden. habe ewig gewartet bis sich überhaupt jemand für mich interessiert hat und danach wurde Ich förmlich abgewimmelt. wollte ein schutzblech für ein rennrad kaufen. der laden schein eher ein klub zu sein, aber nichts um da einzukaufen!

Was für ein geiler neuer Fahrradladen, der vor wenigen Tagen in der Schönfließerstr. eröffnete!
Ich bin fast vom Fahrrad gefallen, als ich das super stylische Retro-​Rennrad-​Tandem im Schaufenster gesehen habe. Endlich mal ein Fahrradladen, bei dem es auch etwas zu sehen gibt.
Der Mitarbeiter bastelte noch am Schild des Ladens, der Shop hatte sich eben aus dem Ei gepellt.
Er hat sich ganz den Retro-​Rennradkultur verschrieben und zwar von den Schuhen bis zum Sattel. Es gibt auch sehr schöné Fahrradtaschen zu kaufen.
Der Laden hat durch und durch Klasse und ich kann nur hoffen, dass er sich schnell herumspricht und genug Abnehmer für diese exklusiven Gefährte findet!

–Nein Quatsch, über diesen Neuzugang freue ich mich.
Ich glaube ich möchte jetzt auch «so ein Fahrrad» haben, am besten in alt und 70er Jahre Optik. Meine sowat dort vorm Laden gesehn zu haben…
