Al Muretto

Al Muretto has fantastic pastries. Actually, a few of the better known cafes nearby actually buy their Croissants, which are baked fresh every morning, from Al Muretto so you may be eating their pastries already without knowing it. Because they begin baking in the wee morning hours, you can get coffee EARLY in the morning, a rare thing in the neighborhood and helpful when you need to be alert before 8AM. Although I mainly frequent Al Muretto in the morning, I have also been here several times for dinner when I am in the mood for some basic and inexpensive pasta dishes, coupled with some very nice wines. I have never been disappointed. Sundays can be a pain because (as mentioned by a previous reviewer) there is literally a non-​stop parade of kids asking to use the bathroom which they now disallow but still seems to stress out the staff and the customers not sure what else you can do about that the Thai place on the corner has the same problem.

Zugegeben, auch nicht selbstgemachte Pasta kann hervorragend sein und meist nimmt man an, dass die selbstgemachte extrem teuer ist. Hier jedoch nicht. Das Essen ist sehr günstig, vor allem, wenn man bedenkt, dass man einen riesigen Teller bekommt. Ich habe mein Essen noch nie ganz aufessen können. Das Personal ist total nett und immer flirtbereit, allerdings auf einen charmante Art, weniger auf eine nervige.
Favorit: Bolognese! Unbedingt probieren!

Das Al Muretto ist schon seinen Besuch wert, wegen den Inhabern und Peter.
Ohne Peter gäbe es nur halb soviele Leckereien und gute Laune am frühen Morgen.
In Berlin ist gute Laune am frühen Morgen eher eine Seltenheit und deswegen freue ich mich regelrecht im Al Muretto ind en frühen Morgenstunden vorbei zu schauen, um mich mit Peter am Tag zu erfreuen. Das Al Muretto bietet eine gute Auswahl, an italienischen Frühstück, französichen Croissants, auch mal mit Vanille Füllung bishin zu verschiedenen Pastas & Salatangeboten.
Der Mittagstisch ist immer saisonal ausgerichtet und läßt immer Platz für neue kulinarische Kreationen.
Ich finde das Al Muretto hat alles was das Herz begehrt. Und hat es mal was nicht, dann wünscht man es sich bei Peter und er besorgt, bäckt oder/​und kocht es gerne!
Geht einfach mal vorbei und wünscht euch was in den frühen Morgenstunden.
Da gibt es dann ein «gute Laune Lächeln» und das was ihr euch vielleicht schon immer zum Frühstück gewünscht habt.

Walking home from the Mauerpark one day we came across this café. We all wanted a sit down and a drink, and I was dying for a bathroom, so we popped in. We all had iced chai lattes that were absolutely delicious, and my companions had a couple of fruit tarts that looked pretty yummy. I was also intrigued by their pasta offerings, which sounded really good. They had a free jug of water (somewhat rare in Berlin!) and the staff was nice. The only negative was the bathroom situation. I was waiting in a long line for ages. Granted, it was a Sunday and plenty of Mauerpark goers had the same idea as I. But many of them, unlike me, came in only to use the bathroom. It would be better if the café could police this somehow so that paying customers didn’t have to wait while a bunch of non-​paying people took over the bathroom.

Hervorragendes Café, bei dem neben den Heißgetränken auch die süßen Leckereien überzeugen können. Wenn man durchgefroren vom Rodeln oder Flanieren über den Trödel vom Mauerpark kommt, ist hier genau das richtige Plätzchen um sich aufzuwärmen. Darüberhinaus ein sehr angenehmes Publikum, häufig auch Famiilien mit Kindern.

Freundliche Bedingung, gute Kaffee und Essen

I was passing by this café many times, finally I found reason to try it. I was not disappointed. The icecoffee is excellent. Cold coffee with creamy ice cream is the way it should be. Also the Tiramisu is excellent. Plus if you go there on a sunday and you make it to sit outside you can view the mauerpark
