Pretty good place. Stopped by early on a Sunday evening by myself, place was pretty quiet, two other solo tourist dinners and one family. All the guys working there were very attentive. I had Turo maki and i believe fairly fresh. Satisfactory, would like to return on a weekend evening to see if the atmosphere picks up as it is just a stones throw from all the Taksim shopping

This place only gets two stars because of the low quality of food. The tuna was dark purple so we didn’t eat it and the other sashimi and sushi did not taste fresh like what we are used to in NYC or LA. They were also out of our top three imported drinks choices so it was hard to feel like we had a satisfied meal here. However, the wait staff was polite albeit rarely around.

Strangely sushi is not very popular in turkey so after much searching we finally found Tokyo on Unilocal.
Sushi was good and fresh at a standard as expected especially at this price range. The variety was good with also in house maki fusions and noodles.
I’ll be going back this weekend

My sister and I came here during our first night in Instanbul because were craving sushi. It was pricey, but it was so worth it! The service was quick and welcoming. Their fish was fresher than expected in our nigiri and dragon roll orders. My sister had the oyakodon and I had the tempura udon which both came out perfectly. I would recommend this place if you are in need of real asian food in Europe.
