AHHH, I wish we have a bar like this here!
This place is in the Asmalımescit district in Istanbul, which is very well known for its bar scene and night life according to my Turkish friend. Just think of it as the Meatpacking district in Istanbul.
The gist of the story is, it was our first day in Istanbul; we were incredibly jet lagged and tired from our 10-hour flight, then got incredibly drunk after bar hopping for a few hours in various rooftop cars in the city (European side), and for some reason we ended up here after following our friend and her old posse from home. And it was one of the best times in my life.
They are essentially a ‘baked by Melissa’ equivalent of shots! All are shots, but with different flavors and sizes. There are a few categories such as Sweet, Sour, Sweet Sour. And different assortments of these shots. Ours came with different colored shots with different toppings, all tasted like heaven! This place is mustgo if you ever travel there!

I really liked this place! Good pop/dance tunes and really creative/fun drinks. We all ordered random stuff (pointing to the menu without looking) and we really enjoyed the surprising combos and different drinks. I also love the hilarious little beer jugs (although they are pricey at 12tl for less than 30cl).
Overall great crowd and great vibe, would hit this place up again with people with the right energy.

This is a fun cocktail bar with great music and a great crowd. It gets really packed on Friday and Saturday nights and I had to tip the doorman to get in because he was turning away so many people. They have a wide variety of flavors of cocktails but also a few beers. The crowd is mostly young and Turkish but the dj spins good music from all over.

Had a lovely time at this place on my first night in Istanbul. I was wandering side alleys on the main nightlife street (Istiklal Street) and found this. The bar opens up into the alley and on this Wednesday night the atmosphere was exuberant and fun. People were drinking and there was a large contingent of people dancing in the alley.
There is an extensive selection of shots, a large page of small print with all the variations.
The only reasons for less than five stars is that I don’t drink so I didn’t try the drinks, and the attempts at DJing music were awful. The songs were standard pop/club tunes that I liked but there were 2 – 3 guys giggling behind a laptop, picking out songs amongst themselves, sometimes accidentally stopping the music, and sometimes starting a new song in the middle of the prior one, etc. What was fun was that the crowd just kept going and rocking out to whatever was playing.

Tektekçi is a really fun shot bar in Istanbul. It is right in the heart of all the nightlife in Taksim/Beyoglu.
There are more flavors of shots than you could ever possibly imagine! You can order a whole bunch of different flavors in one order. But just as a heads up, there is not much alcohol in them.
Tektekçi is really popular and crowded. There is music playing while people chat and casually dance. It is great for a big group of friends. And I would definitely recommend it for out-towners.
