I’m not a fan of chain coffee spots but when you’ve been in the air for awhile you seek the comfort of something familiar. No not the coffee but the strong wifi connection. I saw this place from a far and just charged through masses of travels seeking a decent signal and was horrible disappointed every time. Starbucks are suppose to be wifi heaven.
I was here and was told that get a code when you make a purchase. What really sucked was waiting in a long line buying expensive water and cinnamon spiced coffee just to learn that the wifi wasn’t working. When east and west meet up at a Starbucks they want wifi.

Like anything at the airport, it’s an expensive coffee caused by high rental fees. It’s located in the corner of international arrivals, in my opinion is big enough considering the rent. They have typical Starbucks coffee, good for long waits if the person’s airplane that you’re waiting for has a delay.

They don’t take the Starbucks card, and while the girl was nice she was a total airhead who wasted my time.
Also, I ordered a Java chip frappuccino, no chips. It’s like they can all somehow tell that I’m Greek: P

So, I visited this Starbucks in the Istanbul airport twice in four months, and for the most part enjoyed my experience. The line can get quite long, but I suppose that should be expected. You may, or may not have free (excuse me, I meant «FREE!!!») wifi which was part of my reason for going. Let’s face it, there are better places for coffee in Turkey than Starbucks, right?

Decent coffee, probably what one would expect at a Starbucks. It’s located conveniently, right in the middle of the terminal.
They have a system where you scan your boarding card to access the wifi (wasn’t working when is was there, though).

Nice location in inside of Istanbul airport.
I did have weak wifi here.
The best wifi in Istanbul airport was at Nero café.

Another Starbucks location without proper wifi (they require that you «like» them on Facebook and prompt you to enter your Facebook password).
Absolute nonsense!
