Propaganda

I came here for Kraak & Smaak in April 2014. My husband and I got there a bit too early, though. We hung out downstairs for a bit, but the space was so small, so we headed up stairs. The DJs who were upstairs were pretty good, but the crowd didn’t build. Eventually, around 2am, we headed back downstairs to see that they had opened up the bottom floor, about doubling its size, and it was packed. And the DJ was on. I wish we had known when they brought in the main act for the night; we would have come back down sooner.
The sound system is amazing, especially for such a small space. The room is a bit narrow, but if you can perch near a railing, you can hang out there all night and dance.
They definitely will pack in the space, but the crowd was good and manageable.
