How much you like this place will depend on what you want. If you’re looking for something that caters to western tastes and is comfortable to westerners, this is a great place. It’s clean, the service is good, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very nice. I was actually in the mood for something a bit more authentic Istanbul, but ended up here. I loved the open-air atmosphere(was here in October when the weather is perfect for that). The food was tasty. Ignore the entire dessert menu. There is one thing and one thing only to eat for dessert here: hand made ice cream. Just to one end of the restaurant there’s a guy making ice cream, and they sell it at the counter to passers-by. But you can get it in the restaurant and it is amazing. Small language problem when I asked what flavours they had. My waiter said«blue», «orange», and«red». I got chocolate, pistachio, and blueberry(I think). My major gripe was that there was nothing particularly interesting for vegetarians. The menu is very meat heavy, and so I basically ended up with grape leaves as a starter and a «vegetarian platter» as a main. And they served the vegetarian platter with dinner rolls, not pita bread. That was strange.

It was a nice place to rest your foot after wheeling and dealing at the Grand Bazaar! The have food for all the finicky eaters from out of town. The service is great and it is on a busy street between the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar so you can people watch as you enjoy a beverage and a meal.

Amazing pepper steak and BLT! We stayed at the hotel for a week and didn’t discover how amazing their food was until the last day. I’m on the other side of the world but am still craving it

Der Service und das Essen war gut. Nicht gerade günstig aber eine gute Auswahl an Menüs.
I stopped here for breakfast due to its close proximity to the tram stop. I ordered the eggs Benedict that were good, but sadly didn’t come with any hollandaise sauce. My server was very friendly, but it’s a bit too pricy for what you receive.

Casual streetside restaurant in the Pierre Loti Hotel. Wide ranging menu with burgers, wraps, pizza, and pricier grilled options like Lamb Chops for 42TL. Lots of glass making you feel like you’re eating in a greenhouse( ) We were went for a quick dinner before heading to Sultanas( ) where I was going to have the set dinner, but the g/f was just doing the show because they didn’t have a good pescetarian option. With this in mind, I got one of the cheapest items on the menu, the Lahmacun Kilis(7TL) and the g/f went for Spaghetti a La Turka(19TL) The Spaghetti was billed as having salmon, cherry tomatoes, olives, basil, oregano, sour cream, and parmesan cheese though the cooks looked to have forgotten the basil( ). Despite that omission, this dish got high marks from the g/f(good al dente pasta. not overly creamy. plenty of salmon) and was a large serving which she couldn’t finish. The Lahmacun Kilis is sometimes called Turkish Pizza and was also larger than I’d expected for the price( ) coming with a plate of parsley, lemon, tomato and onions which often are served directly on top instead of on the side( ). The idea is to use the Lahmacun as a wrap for some of these fixings( ). I liked Loti’s version with a lightly spiced minced meat topping and crisp crust. Decent spot for a quick meal.
