Food here is delicious but the portions are on the smaller side compared to most Turkish establishments. We came here on our last night in Istanbul, after having ordered at tons of restaurants both in Turkey and Greece. At each establishment, my husband and I were able to share a mixed grill and be STUFFED. Not here! Kasabim is a bit pricier and with smaller portions than a lot of other local establishments, but it is also slightly more upscale. So, we left a little hungry but it was totally our own fault – to be fair our lovely server did mention that the portions were not large. The food itself was FAB, but if you’re hungry don’t expect typical Turkish doner or kebab portions. The vibe here is very relaxing, the service is superb, and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I would return if I were in the area again.

Went here on our first night in Istanbul. The meat is delicious and well cooked. We had the steak on some bread in sauce and the lamb special. We ordered the wine… Stick to the beer. But the service was nice and we relaxed and enjoyed our meal. And free wi-fi which is important when you are international.

Delicious. After travelling 16 days in Turkey I needed a burger, and what better place is there than this? While walking here through the super cool Taksim neighborhood, we passed the butcher shop that sells and showcases the meats that this restaurant serves. It was a cool opportunity to both see, and eat, the high quality meats that they have. Also, the fries were perfect, and unsalted. I added my own salt and pepper and these heavy pepper/salt grinders are the coolest! The décor is clean and interesting, with some outdoor seating too. And free wi-fi. Really hip spot!
