What a jewel of a restaurant. We hunted down this restaurant on the Asian side of Istanbul(20 minute taxi ride from Uskudar metro stop) from a recommendation read in The Guardian. Perhaps the best fish restaurant I’ve eaten at in a long while. Located right on the Kendili pier, you are literally on the water. You will be served fish which I assume was caught that same morning. Freshness of vegetables was simply spot on and all divine. Not sure how many non-Turks make it to this restaurant due perhaps to location, but for foodies in search of an authentic Turkish fish restaurant, this is well worth the journey. Service was also equally understated yet spotless. Oh yes, and let me not forget to mention the beautiful views of the Bosphorus. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants to have some seafood right by the Bosphorus. It’s cozy and small, but located right by the Kandilli pier on the Asian shores of Bosphorus strait. They have fresh fish and some mezes(apetizers). Especially during Spring and Summer time you can sit and eat outside with a pleasent weather and nice breeze. You can reach there by ferries from the European shores, just check the ferry schedule or Sehir Hatlari(Municipal ferry lines).
