Love the Cihangir area for a stroll, people-watching and boutique browsing. Ended the evening at a pleasant indoor/outdoor café that is all about ambiance and cats. The draw +‘s: + Quiet neighborhood enclave. No boisterous scene on a Saturday evening which is the speed we wanted. + Great service that doesn’t charge for bread. Some places do and it’s a turn-off. + English translations on menus(but the language is not when ordering; English is neither the standard here nor should it be expected.) + Bacon burger – seasoned with their version of a BBQ sauce and it was nice + Cats rule the helm here. They are served dishes of milk at the bar! I don’t mind them but the waitstaff are keen to swat them away if they near patrons who are dining. The hazards -‘s: — Was recommended the sea bass with side of potatoes. No bones but drenched in a caper sauce. Flaky and decent texture but don’t expect the thick fillet version found in the States — American credit cards unfortunately can’t be used on their machine. Debit cards however work. TIP: Great neighborhood restaurant that is not fussy. Not worth a trek but definitely a nice retreat if you are in the hood.
