It’s a great place. You gotta try hot chocolate and chocolate cheesecake. Before leaving, dont forget to buy some chocolate for later!

As the name says, if you love chocolate, you’ll love this place. A friend who is originally from Istanbul recommended it to me. Otherwise we would have never found it. It’s tiny and located in a small alley.
She said they make the best chocolate cake, so I tried that. While my boyfriend went for the chocolate soufflé. The chocolate cake was fantastic, and definitely the richest chocolate cake I ever had. It not only had rich and moist layers of chocolate sponge, but also chocolate mousse type layers. It was covered with chocolate icing and on top came with warm chocolate sauce and white chocolate drops. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too sweet, but I felt it could have done with something tangy to cut through all the chocolate. For example a raspberry coulis rather than the chocolate sauce. Anyways it was delicious. But actually I thought the chocolate soufflé was even better. It was made with bitter chocolate and was rich and not too sweet. It was definitely the best chocolate soufflé I have ever tasted.
Besides the fab chocolate, the place itself is tiny but makes you feel at home. The 5 (or at the most 6) tables are upstairs and air-​conditioned. The service was good too and they were very patient with us (the menu was only in Turkish) trying to figure out what they had on the menu and what to order.

J’adore le chocolat” wenn ihr dieser Aussage zustimmt dann seid ihr hier richtig. Das Chocolatier & Café befindet sich in einr Seitenstrasse rechts hinten im Eck. Bei unserem Besuch war es leider überfüllt aber das Ristorante ”La Fontana die Trevi” direkt nebenan und das Café gehören zusammen und so kann man dorthin ausweichen. Allerdings: lasst es euch nicht entgehen in das Café und diesen leckeren Schokoduft einzudringen. Das Ambiente, der Duft, der Anblick ein Traum. Aber auch das Ristorante ist sehr gemütlich, im italienischen Stil eingerichtet und versprüht einen unverkennbaren Charme. Ein wenig typisch wieder für İstanbul: İtalienisches Restaurant, türkische Betreiber und französische Musik =) Aber: Hier gibt es sooooooo einen leckeren Schokokuchen, den müsst ihr definitiv versuchen. Wir haben jeder ein ganzes Stück genommen, wenn ihr aber keine Schokoorgien gewöhnt seid, dann könnte das zuviel sein und es empfehlt sich ein Stück zu zweit zu essen. Der Kuchen kostet 7,5 TL. Man bekommt einen ganzen Krug voll Wasser mit Zitronenscheibe und Pfefferminzblatt gratis dazu. Die Bedinung ist sehr nett und schnell. Das grosse Stück Kuchen wir mit dicker Schokososse übergossen und schmeckt sehr, sehr schokoladig ohne zu süss zu sein (zu süss für den TÜRKİSCHEN Gaumen). Wenn man seine Geschmacksknospen und Augen anstrengt, kann man sehen, dass der Kuchen nicht einfach aus Schoki sondern aus mehreren Schichten Schokolade und Zimt besteht. Ausserdem gibts auf die leckere Kuvertüre noch einen Taler aus weisser Schoki obendrauf! Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecker!!! Unbedingt probieren!
