We just visited for a quick beer before dinner. Great location for us — next door to Hotel Vicenza. Service was very friendly and we enjoyed the outdoor seating w/people watching.

We walked up the street to this restaurant for lunch today. It’s a large, pleasant sidewalk café w/a large protective awning hung w/Turkish lanterns which will be beautiful at night. We seated ourselves and were given menus. We ordered a mezze plate and a plate of borek sigara and waters to drink. A basket of bread was brought accompanied by a spread of finely chopped black olives and spices. The spread was tasty, if salty. though not unpleasantly for for me. It was too much for Alan. Everybody’s mezze is different. This one contained a potato salad, hummus, yogurt w/dill weed, a salad w/shoestring sliced salami, a salsa-like concoction that carried a bit of heat, esme and several other dishes that I can’t describe. Everything was good, but standouts were the hummus, which had all the life our last one lacked, and the esme, which lacked the overabundance of salt of last night’s. The borek sigara were also very tasty. It was a good lunch and we were both pleased.
