Nisantasi is the heart of Istanbul’s trendy and fancy life and this little café is just a block from the center of Nisantasi on a quieter street. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area is covered with a tent and since smoking is allowed it really holds the cigarette smoke down which is not nice. Add the close proximity of tables to one another, it can become irritating. Other than the smoke, the city buses pass through this side street and that also make it a rather noisy experience. Moving on to the F&B, the menu is contemporary from Turkish delicacies to pizzas, salads, steaks, and risottos. We tasted most of the appetizers and except for the«shrimp hash browns» all were tasty. My risotto with porcini mushrooms and strips of sirloin was pretty good. The rice was not too mushy but they overcooked the mushrooms which became almost liquefied. The place has a full bar and the service is courteous and fast. We paid an average of $ 50 per person. Overall, it was just another fancy café with nothing special about it that would make it stand out. Will I go there again? May be once in a blue moon…
