Anatolia Cafe and Restaurant

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the potato pancake and mixed grill and it was so yummy. The staff were very friendly and could speak good english. They offered us apple tea on the house but we were to full. I recommend this restaurant!

Good food, nice staff, prices reasonable. We went in the early afternoon and were the only ones there but by the time we were done others came in. It’s next to a Tukish Bathhouse and some good shops. Grab a beer, some food and enjoy the happy hour special.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Istanbul! The food is great with tons of veggie options. They made a vegetarian Testi Kebab for us which was delicious. We also got the Meze plate. The presentation and flavor was on point. The service is great and special shout out to our waiter Recep (Roger) who was very accommodating. We ended the evening with apple tea. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for friendly service and flavorful dishes.

Been in Turkey for a week now. This restaurant while serving typical Turkish faire is a cut above the rest. First, the Turkish wine selection is way superior than most restaurants that you will visit in this country. Second the food is just better. Every item on the mezes platter was perfect and delicious– you won’t find that at most restaurants, there’s always one that you don’t like, not here. I loved the Iskander Kebab — always one of my favorites. Shepard’s salad was fresh and lovely just the way you want it. It’s good, the people are nice, it’s good value.

Yep, I was looking for a dinner spot and once he caught my eye, I was hooked. Do other cities have «hawkers» for restaurants like they do in Istanbul? I don’t know but I decided to give it a try.
The menu was in English and the prices (after I converted lira to dollars) were decent. But a menu with words *and* pictures. Yep, I turned the pages before settling on something that I hoped would be as good as it looked. Donner meat with tomato sauce and a side of yogurt. What arrived was interesting — there’s a picture. It’s worth noting that the layer of meat is on top of chopped bits of bread. So it was good and filling, but really just A-​OK.
Yep, they had beer. I assume Efes, but it was unlabeled.

Just around the corner from the Hotel Tan, nice décor and cozy feel. There are heaters outside and blankets to drape around your shoulders. We stopped in for a late night Raki and then returned the next night for dinner. Good service and great food. We had the mixed grill and grilled bream, both were delicious.

The seating was nice like the rest of the restaurants on the street. However the food and the service were average at best. The testi was an interesting dish but the appetizers and the menti fell below expectations. I would recommend trying something else if you come here.

Anatolian cousine is very famous Turkish food brand. This restaurant was not bad, i would say the food is ok. They have very good Airans, cozy atmosphere and fresh hot lentil soup.

Ich war dieses Jahr auch in der Türkei und als ich in Istanbul diesen Laden gefunden habe, habe ich beschlossen mit meiner Familie dort etwas zu Essen und ich muss wirklich sagen das es uns echt sehr gut geschmeckt hat.
Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Ich war ja etwas skeptisch, in der Nähe von Topkapi und Hagia Sophia essen zu gehen, zu sehr sind die lokale auf typische Touristen ausgelegt, mit ihren Koberern, die probieren, jeden in ihr Restaurant zu locken.
Das Anatolia liegt eher am Rand, am Ende einer kleinen Strasse, hat einige Tische draussen stehen und natürlich eine Englisch-​Türkische Karte aushängend. Das Personal war weniger aufdringlich als bei den anderen aber aufmerksam, schnell waren zwei Tische zusammen geschoben und Platz für 8 Leute geschafft.
Das auf der Karte auch die typischen internationalen Gerichte wie Pasta, Pizza und Schnitzel waren, trug nicht dazu bei, meine Sepzis abzubauen, doch ich liess sie einfach links liegen und bestellte warme Vorspeisen und eine besonderes Gericht, eine Art Gulasch, das in einem Tontopf zubereitet wurde.
Der Service hatte so kleine Mängel, welche sich aber zum ende hin aufklärten, da wir da erfuhren, das das Lokal erst seit kurzem existiert und es noch Anfangsreibereien gibt.
In der Küche allerdings nicht, von allen wurde mir berichtet, das das Essen durchaus gut war, die Portionen reichlich und nicht nur das Präsentieren und zerschlagen des Tonkruges war ansehnlich, sondern auch die anderen Gerichte.
Alles in allem gebe ich dem Anatolia 3 plus einen Bonuspunkt, mit dem ich über die kleinen Anfänger Fehler hinweg sehe.
