The restaurant is located inside an old warehouse, in the summer, you can sit outside which is lovely. The layout and décor of the restaurant is great, for dinner with a big group or just with some friends. I had the Egg Plant with Buffalo Morarella(Trittico di melanzane CHF24) which was lovely and then I had the Asparagus Risotto(Risotto agli asparagus CHF24) which was quite salty and not flavorful enough for me. My friend had the gnocchi with Saffron and she enjoyed it but found that the gnocchi tasted too much like dough and less like potato(she is Italian, so a hard critic). All in all, definitely a place I would go again to and try another dish. I had a gin&tonic, glass of red wine, entre, main course and espresso for about CHF80. It’s a lot in my opinion but pretty good for Zürich.

3.5 stars. Like others said, ambiance is chic and trendy without being too posh. I was told this space used to be a garage(you can see the restaurant kept original garage door and ceiling) but it is converted to pretty cool dining space now. Old-fashion candle lights are everywhere on tables and corners of the restaurant, which gives rustic feeling to chic ambiance. Service was good but it was a bit long wait to catch the server when the restaurant got full and busy. Food was OK but nothing really stood out or impressive. — Gnocchi was OK. Not fluffy(it didn’t seem like freshly made or homemade). — Scallops seemed too small for main dish. Most dishes with crème sauce were on light side. — Dessert: Crema Catalena with chocolate chili ice cream– I didn’t taste chili at all. If you like crème brûlée(crème caramel) and chocolate sorbet, get this, but it’s not mine blowing. — Veal dish: forgot what’s called exactly but it’s big schnitzel style veal dish. Portion-wise, it was OK. — Saw other’s fish dish: it seems that the fish dish gives the most bang for your money considering the portion size. PS: Complimentary baguette slices were good. Ask for it if you like bread :)

Nice location, but that’s all it is. Offering only around 10 – 15 mains and having around half of it out of stock is some how unbelievable. The waiter explained that they are trying to use up there food inventories before new year(on 21.12?!), this is totally unacceptable for dishes prieced at around 50CHF!

I went here with a bunch of friends. For a birthday party(if we can say so), that’s going to be a relevant information later on. The décor is rather classy, but that’s rather dark(hence the really bad photos) and the heaters are slightly over used. That’s not much of a drawback for a restaurant, the noise level is high but not that bad. First let’s talk quickly about the wine, we asked the waitress what she would advise, she gave us a red wine called Dominio de Atauta(Spanish). It is indeed very good, maybe a bit too much since it really raised the total… Onward to the food, the menu here is indeed pretty short, but you have something similar to the Josef(I’m making that reference because the other restaurant is fairly more famous in Zurich) as you can order several plates, the cheapest option being two«courses» costing 69, — CHF. The difference is, what you order is «random» or surprise if you prefer to call it that way. Three of us decided to go for that solution(I too, felt like gambling). The surprise was rather good, though quite small(that’s not an issue for me but might for you). The first course was an appetizer made of salmon placed on an artichoke, rather light a delicious. Well-presented too, nothing wrong. The second /main course was a deer steak with mashed sweet potatoes, cabbages, and mushrooms. The deer steak was perfectly cooked and the meat was extremely good, side dishes were OK but not incredible. As I said, dishes were rather small and my friends decided to order dessert(Crêpe Suzette and Tarte au Chocolat). Since it was one of our friend birthdays, she received an additional Tarte au Chocolat with a sparkler on top. I have only tried some bits, but it did not taste incredible The staff speaks DE-EN, some DE-EN-FR, regular for Zurich. They are rather efficient which is not often the case in Zurich. Helpful too, with wine or should you hesitate with the random dishes offer.
