Learn the ‘fancy’ verb for ‘signature verification’ or probably just make your request in English. Telling the notary that you need ‘a notary’ probably isn’t specific enough. In any event, I was fortunate to have been helped by a very friendly and understanding counter person & my transaction went very smoothly.
Located just a short walk up from the Kreuzstrasse Haltestelle (Trams 2 and 4), this place is easy to find.
One enters and proceeds directly to an open counter. An official ID must be presented, the document in question is then signed, one is requested to sign one’s name in a registry, then bade to take a seat.
Twenty bucks gets you your document returned with all the correct stamps and signatures. Both cash and card payments accepted.
