Cantinetta Antinori

Die Cantinetta ist das Stammlokal meiner Schwiegereltern in Spe, weshalb wir des Öfteren mal da sind. Die Bedienung ist ein absoluter Traum, super freundlich, immer total fröhlich und gleichzeitig absolut professionell und auch echt auf Zack. Das Lokal an sich ist eher traditionell, mit weissen Tischtüchern, Holzmöbeln und verscheiden Ölgemälden an der Wand. Die Leute, welche hier ein und ausgehen sind zumeist Intellektuelle, Professoren, aber auch Bänker und Anwälte und natürlich die alten Zürcher Familien.
Das Essen ist mega gut, absolute super Qualität, da lässt sich nichts bemängeln. Allerdings wäre mir die Cantinetta, um alleine dahin zu gehen, dann doch etwas zu teuer. Trotzdem, wenn ich da bin, freue ich mich immer auf einen schönen Abend mit gutem Essen, tollem Service und netter Gesellschaft.

The Cantinetta is nestled in the heart of Zurich. It belongs to the Bindella group, which has a lot of Italian restaurants all over Switzerland. It also has a long history with the Antinori family.
It’s just off Bahnhofstrasse and near the Paradeplatz. The restaurant is located in a historic building.
The décor is simple, traditional, the ambiance is relaxing and cosy. Staff is attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly.
The wine list is extensive, offering all wines from Antinori. They also offer some rare vintages of Antinori’s most exclusive if you’re into that. Imho the prices for wines are good value for money.
The food selection is adequate offering many classics from Italy. Pasta is cooked to perfection, the spaghetti al dente as it should be. There is also a nice selection of fish and meat dishes. My favorite fish dish is their whole grilled sole. Cooked nicely and very fresh.
They also have a special truffles menu which is why I come to the Cantinetta in Zurich. They offer summer black truffle as well as the white winter truffle from Alba.
I can recommend all dishes including the sunny side up with fresh truffle, the home made tagliolini with truffle or the risotto with truffle. They are all excellent. If you are really hungry go for the escalope of veal with fresh truffle and truffle cream.
If you still have room for deserts, they have a nice selection. The Tiramisu was nicely done, not too sweet and heavy. I personally like the Dai Dai very much, which are actually ice cream pralines.
The Cantinetta can be expensive especially when you go for truffle. If not it’s reasonable for Zurich.
I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Good Italian food, but very, very slow service.

Delicious dinner. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Veal medallions surprisingly rare. Would have preferred I with less pink. Great service.

Die ANTINORI Familie kann nicht nur Wein, sondern auch gute Restaurants führen. Auch wenn es hier die mit größte Auswahl an offenen Antinori Weinen gibt, kommt der Gaumen nicht zu kurz. Tolle Küche. Besonders empfehlenswert im Sommer auf der Terrasse. Sehr Zentral an der Bahnhofstraße.

We stopped in here on a rainy night while visiting from the U.S. Couldn’t have been more pleasantly pleased! A bit expensive but honestly well worth it! Highly recommend!

Good food for a relative high price. You are paying a great service and that expensive location near to Bahnhofstrasse.

This place had a wonderful atmosphere and the service was excellent. I had wanted the food to be better though. Perhaps i ordered the wrong thing (pasta with salmon and asparagus). I would give it another try when next in Zurich, as I think it has potential. I will say it felt like i was in Italy, and not Zurich.

This place has an understated fabulousness to it. The steak with the taffy-​like balsamic reduction was heavenly. Their wines — amazing. A truly fabulous evening with family.

This is a great restaurant! I came here with my Dad and it was great. Really good quality Italian food! Its expensive but then again so is Switzerland. You really pay for the quality you get. The desserts are great! Its a great place to take a date if you really want to splurge. The area is nice for a after-​dinner walk as well. I would recommend it.

Awesome Italian food. Wonderful selection of wines. If you are celebrating a special occasion, or lookin gto impress clients, this is a great place to do it. Outside of Italy, this is the best Italian restaurant I have been to. I recomend the handmade pasta and grilled mixed fish plate. Service was outstanding. I was lucky to experience the truffle season with light cositini, prosciutto and formagio. Molto bene!

I am giving this place 1 star simply due to the service we received. Yes, I am American and a tourist, but that does not mean that a restaurants service should become horrific.
My boyfriend and I came here on a friday night around 5:30 pm while staying in the area. Upon looking at the menu outside we knew it was on the pricier side but thought the pasta dishes were reasonable. Upon entering we were asked if we could finish by 7 pm, because if so we could take a table that was reserved for 2 at 7 pm right by the entrance. We agreed.
Our waiter did not know much English and didn’t really seen interested in us since there was a family of 5 sitting next to us which means more $$. Anyway, we ordered two glasses of wine to start and wanted to order a small plate of risotto and a small plate of shrimp scampi over homemade noodles. Our waiter told us that the order was too small and said that we had to order more. He rambled off some salads, so we ordered the tomato and mozzarella and a mixed greens salad. When he walked away with our order we were both completely confused as to what we just ordered and whether he tacked on a bunch of other items because our order was «too small.» A minimum order amount was not listed on the menu or anywhere else. The is when it dawned on us that we were getting played.
The tomato and mozzarella salad was delicious but pricey, while the mixed salad was not that great. The balsamic dressing was too bitter and there was too much of it also.
We were then bought our next plates – two small risotto dishes. That’s when I became concerned that the waiter ordered us 3 plates instead of just 2. The risotto came with veal meatballs which were not good. The meatballs were somewhat hard and just didn’t taste right. After finishing this dish I asked the waiter if we were still going to get the shrimp scampi noodle dish, but he seemed confused and asked if we wanted to order it. We quickly said no as we just wanted to make sure he didn’t give us 3 dishes instead of just 2, like we had originally wanted.
For dessert my boyfriend ordered the chocolate mousse and I ordered the gelato caffe. The mousse was great, and the ice cream was fine, except that they gave me plain vanilla with chocolate chip ice cream.
Overall, I felt completely bullied by this waiter and just wanted to get out there. I couldn’t even enjoy this expensive meal because of this guy. He was just rude and unfriendly.
In the end our bill was 127 francs with the 8% service fee (tipping is included in Switzerland!). If I were in the area again I would avoid this place at all costs!!!

Great meal here. They served us one of the all-​time great Ravioli’s and Risotto dishes.
Folks from outside Zurich, don’t let the prices scare you. Typically Zurich fashion, they have exceptional service, high quality food, and smart casual atmosphere.

Excellent and authentic risotto al tartuffo. Really liked the atmosphere, pricey but worth it.

Kurz: Gutes Essen für viel, sehr viel Geld.
Wir wurden hier mal von unserem Vorgesetzten eingeladen. Das Restaurant schaut schon von aussen hübsch aus und man erwartet viel wenn man da reingeht. Und man kriegt auch viel. Viel Qualität, viel guter Service und vorallem viel Preis.
Wir waren zu dritt, mit je einer Vorspeise, einem Haupfgang und einer Flasche Wein. Das Essen war echt sehr lecker, die Cantinetta serviert frisches authentisches italienischen Essen.
Aber zum Glück mussten wir die Rechnung nicht begleichen. Aufgrund der hohen Preise kehre ich hierher nicht zurück. Man findet auch andere gute Italiener für weniger Geld. Aber bei Bankern ist’s halt in.

Wer hier vorbeigeht, will sich auch setzen: So einladend sehen die Cantinetta Antinori Tische um und in dem entzückenden Haus im absoluten Zentrum Zürchs aus.
Wie für alle Glieder des allgegenwärtigen Brindella Emperiums für Zürcher Italoküche gilt auch hier: Location, location, location. Und dann gelingt es, die Erwartungen der Kunden nicht zu enttäuschen. Ist doch wunderbar!
Ich weiss von einem schwäbischen Lampenfabrikanten, der, wann immer in Zürich, ins Cantinetta Antinori geht «weil des isch mai Leblingsräschaurand in Zürich». Ich finde, «Lieblingsrestaurant von schwäbischen Unternehmern» triffts.

Das Cantinetta Antinori ist DER «Italo-​Schuppen» für Pasta und Italienische Köstlichkeiten in Zürich. Nicht für mich, aber für viele Banker und Geschäftsleute im Umkreis. «Weisch, diä beschte Trüffel-​Pasta isst mer det»… «und dä Wy für nur 150.00 Franke isch im Fall äs Träumli»!!! So klingt es jeweils von den gut verdienenden Anlageberatern und sonstigen Bank-​Profis. Ich kann dies nur teilweise nachvollziehen. Das Cantinetta Antinori empfinde ich als völlig OK, aber mehr auch nicht.
An einem wahrlich schönen Plätzchen liegt das Cantinetta Antinori. «Am Fusse» des Rennweges, an der Augustinergasse, auf einem schönen Plätzchen mit wunderschöner Gartenwirtschaft. Es geht gediegen zu und her im Cantinetta Antinori. Immer weiss gedeckt, grosse teure Weingläser, prunkvolle Einrichtung und sehr gut gekleidetetes Personal. Italienisch-​chic würde ich es nennen. Besonders schön ist es draussen. Im Sommer lässt es sich hier stilvoll unter grossen Sonnenschirmen speissen. Und wer gerne Leute beobachtet, oder gerne inmitten des städtischen Trubels isst, der ist hier sowiso schon mal richtig. Im inneren Bereich ist es auch sehr hübsch. Das Lokal ist alt und übereugt durch Charme, Stil und Eleganz. Viel Holz und etwas gedämpftes Licht verleihen dem Ganzen eine sehr gediegene Atmosphäre.
Die Speisekarte ist überfüllt mit Pasta, Pizza und Italienischen Gerichten. Besonders zu empfehlen sind wirklich die verschiedenen Pasta’s.Und ja, diese Trüffel-​Pasta schmeckt wirklich super lecker! Wäre da nur nicht der Preis!!! Man zahlt für eine Portion normale Pomodoro-​Pasta gerne mal CHF 28.00. Die Sauce ist gut, aber nichts überaus Ungewöhnliches. Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten kosten CHF 40.00. Für ein Kalbskotelette muss man dann ein 50er-​Nötzli zücken. Selbstverständlich sind da die Beilagen noch nicht dabei. Also alles sehr teuer. Zu teuer! Die Speisen sind gut, aber nicht so gut, dass ich für einen Lunch oder auch am Abend so viel Geld ausgeben würde. Zudem, und das finde ich das Schlimmste, sind die Portionen ziemlich klein. Ich habe jeweils noch Hunger danach. Das finde ich dann nicht so toll.
Ins Cantinetta Antinori gehe ich eigentlich nur noch, wenn ich eingeladen werde. Ich bin sonst überhaupt nicht geizig, aber hier ist das Essen echt viel zu teuer. Und wenn ich dann nachher zu Hause noch etwas aus dem Kühlschrank reissen muss, weil der Magen knurrt, dann finde ich das einfach schade.
Wäre das Cantinetta Antinori nicht so teuer, dann würde ich öfters gehen. Die Lage ist nämlich super zentral und das Restaurant ist sehr hübsch. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und besticht stets mit Italienischem Charme und Stil.
Aber so ein leckerer Trüffel-​Pasta-​Teller werde ich mir wohl diesen Herbst wieder einmal leisten!!!

Der Name Antinori geht auf die Familie Antinori irgendwann im 13. Jahrhundert zurück — eine italienische Adelsfamilie der Toscana, die sich seit vielen Generationen dem Weinanbau verschrieb.
Die Cantinetta Antionori präsentiert sich mit rustikalem Charme in der Bahnhofstrasse und kann mit einer sehr exquisiten Weinkarte aufwarten, auf der man kostspielige Vini Rossi verschiedenster Jahrgänge der Toscana bestellen kann. Dazu gibt es eine passende Speisekarte, die von Insalata di rucola con parmigiano reggiano, Antipasti, Paste und Penne zu Pietanze reicht. Ausgezeichnete Küche, mit Sinn für kulinarischen Hochgenuss.
Die Bedienung ist ganz passabel und die Wartezeiten sind auch in Ordnung. Gemütliche Stimmung, und teuer eben … trotzdem ist es einen Besuch wert, da die Speisen wirklich toll zubereitet werden und super schmecken.

Die Cantinetta Antinori ist nicht ein herkömmliches Italienisches Restaurant mit Pizza und Pasta.
Das Konzept ist ganz der traditionsreichen toscanischen Tafelkultur gewidmet und bietet qualitativ hochwertige Kost an.
Besonders überzogen bin ich von der Cantinetta Antinori zwar nicht, denn die Portionen sind mir etwas zu klein und dafür zu teuer.
Doch gehöre ich auch nicht ganz der Anspruchsgruppe an, denn ist das Antinori auf guten Wein spezialisiert — und ich trinke eben keinen.
Auch esse ich als armer Student und Spoltfanatiker lieber grössere Portionen, als die teuren kleinen.
Ich bin aufs Antinori gekommen, weil meine Kollegin gerne da isst. Sie ist Gluten-​Alergiker und hat es beim Italiener meist schwer, was ohne zu bekommen. In der Cantinetta Antinori können aber alle Pasta-​Gerichte mit glutenfreiem Teig bestellt werden — wirklich super Angenot.

Im Cantinetta Antinori werden italienische Traditionen und italienische Speisen gepflegt. Das Angebot ist ähnlich wie bei anderen gleichgelagerten Gaststätten in der Nähe.
Auch der Service ist gut, doch bisher haben wir die Cantinetta weder beim Essen, bei der Bedienung, noch bei der Stimmung, als überdurchschnittlich empfunden.
Der Gast findet in der Cantinetta Antinori «Italienita» mit guter Qualität. Diese hat Ihren Preis, doch das Erlebnis entspricht dafür dem, was man allgemein von einem echt italienischen Restaurant erwartet.

Mein Stammitaliener in Zürich: Hier kann man eigentlich nie etwas falsch machen. Die «berühmte» Zürcher Gastronomenfamilie Bindella (die in Italien mit den Antinoris eng zusammenarbeitet, daher der Name) hat hier ein Juwel im Herzen der Stadt: eine saubere, italienische Küche, erstklassig zubereitet und serviert und ein phantastische Weinkarte noch dazu. Platzreservierung ist übrigens unbedingt zu empfehlen, sonst ist sowohl zur Mittagszeit als auch am Abend möglicherweise Warten angesagt. aber selbst das lohnt sich. Persönlich habe ich übrigens bei zahlreichen Besuchen nie Anlass gehabt, über schlechten oder unfreundlichen Service zu klagen. Übrigens auch die anderen Bindella-​Restaurants, allen voran das Conti am Opernhaus, sind ebenso zu empfehlen.

Eines der besten italienischen Restaurants der Stadt. Zentrale Lage an der Bahnhofstrasse; im Sommer kann man auf der schönen Terrasse sitzen. Das Essen ist immer frisch zubereitet und auf sehr hohem Niveau.
Die Weinkarte ist fantastisch; natürlich alle Weine von Antinori, die meisten auch glasweise. Man kann zu jeder tageszeit auch nur Wein an der grossen Bar trinken.
Ambiente und Service sind, im positiven Sinne, sehr italienisch; mittags eher geschäftig und schnell, abends elegant und geniesserisch.
Sehr empfehlenswert!

Essen und Weinauswahl qualitativ hochstehend, jedoch ist Bedienung arrogant und unfreundlich. Reservationen und Sitzplatzwünsche werden denn auch schon mal unwirsch abgelehnt.
Ambiente eher gedrängt, ein paar Tische weniger würden die Atmosphäre deutlich lockerer erscheinen lassen.
Wer den Bindella-​Groove mag, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Aber man merkt es dem Antinori an; man hat es nicht nötig
