Word of warning — if you want to be dissed by a mechanic, this is the place to get your car serviced.

I bought a used VW family brand car in March 2015. First contact with these guys was when some dude backed up into my car and demolished its front, early July 2015. The guys did well in terms of repairing my car and getting the insurance of the other driver involved, etc. Even though it took them 3 weeks (!) to get my car fixed, the overall result was somewhat satisfactory.
My overall impression of the garage was totally demolished when I went in to enquire whether the garage could do a GPS navigation system upgrade. I have a RNS 310 system with Hardware 16 and Firmware 227, which I know is upgradeable to 351 first, then 357.
The guy at customer care didn’t know what I was talking about, and he fetched a mechanic. That person was rude to me — first, he came up with a random price of 80 francs for the upgrade. When I asked him which version he was going to upgrade to, he said ‘there is only one upgrade’ — which is factually incorrect, because he has the option to upgrade me to 235 or to 357. Then I asked him to prepare the work, and he came back telling me that he had the necessary upgrade software for this GPS unit, but the brand didn’t match my car’s brand, even though both systems are from GPS manufacturer Blaupunkt, namely the model FX.
If all this detail is too much for you, here is a summary — these guys can sell you cars for 19−20k Francs, they can charge insurances 3−4k Francs, but when it comes to being friendly to you and help upgrade a GPS unit, they will treat you like the customer is the biggest piece of s***. To be avoided at all cost.

Ich muss leider mitteilen, dass ich einmal und NIE WIEDER mein Auto in diese Werkstatt gebracht habe. Aus einem regulären Service werden hier schnell mal Kosten die den Zeitwert des Autos fast übersteigen! Trotz Kostenvoranschlag werden Reperaturen durchgefüht wo man KLAR GESAGT HAT nicht machen und es werden Bauteile ausgetauscht bzw. als Defekt deklariert die es gar nicht sind. so wird schnell mal aus einem Wackelkontakt am Elektrischen Fensterheber ein Durchgeschmorter Motor der Selbstverständlich X-​Hundert Franken kostet anstatt den Wackelkontakt zu beseitigen. naja ich bleibe AUDI treu nur diese Werkstatt wird mich NIE wiedersehen

Hier will ich mich nicht über irgendwelche Autos auslassen, denn davon verstehen ich nun mal viel zu wenig.
Für mich gibts schnelle und langsame, sowie schöné und hässliche Autos!
Was mich verwundert hatte, als ich an der Tankstelle der Amag vorbei lief, ich hatte in der Schweiz noch nie eine bediente Tanke gesehen.
So kann der Automobilist einfach reinfahren und es wird ihm getankt, ist das ein solcher Aufwand dies selbst zu tun?!
Was ich mich dann immer frage, ob hier der Sprit teurer ist, als an den anderen Trankstellen.
