I would have to unfortunately agree with most of the reviews here. This is the worst Asian food I have tasted. The food is horrible and the price is expensive for the quality of food they serve. For an order of beef chop suey and shrimp coconut soup, it cost $ 36 Swiss franc. Even if the price was one tenth of what I paid, I wouldn’t go back to this place. It’s an embarrassment that they serve poor tasting food and call it Asian cooking. For people who eat here, this is not good Asian food so please don’t use this place as a measure of whether you like Asian food or not.

Interessant mit welchem Aufwand man hier kocht. Fried Noodles with Chicken. Die nette Dame nimmt né frische Pfanne für jedes Gericht. Dazu 2 Satai Sticks… Leider spürt man wenig authentisches. Nudeln (irgendwelche) mit dem Gemüse und bisschen «Asia» geschmack treffen auf zähes Pouletfleisch. Die Satai Sticks sind… unbeaschreiblich speziell nicht so toll… Hübsch gemacht; aber nicht um wiederzukommen.

Is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything is really salty. Is overpriced and the service really sucks! The ladies in the back of the serving line are not friendly. The only positive thing about this place is the Chinese decoration. Beware of this place!!!

Yuck, yuck, yuck! This is not Asian food folks! Came here cuz it was convenient but I should have made the effort to walk somewhere else. Wasn’t’ expecting authentic asian food BUT wasn’t’ expecting what we got. I have Asian friends that complain about places like Panda Express BUT this is 100 times worse. I can’t even describe it except to say, maybe Martians from outer space decided to open an Asian Restaurant and this is it. One star for cleanliness.

Tatsächlich wird man bei Mister Wong mehr oder weniger abgefertigt und wie JMLFire schreibt, ist das Essen wirklich ziemlich lieblos hingeklatschte Ware. Die Portionen sind zwar gross, bestehen aber hauptsächlich aus Reis/​Nudeln und Soja-​Sauce.
Das Essen ist relativ günstig, dafür sind Getränke horrend teuer.
Wer hier mit Angestellten Deutsch reden will, wird wohl enttäuscht. Es scheint, sie verstünden gerade die Namen der Gerichte, welche sie produzieren :(

Cooking for the masses, no love nor flavour. If you just know a tiny bit about Asian cuisine you will shake your head when standing in this place. Too bad, but on the other hand, the concept seems to work and thats what counts at the end of the day for the businessmen behind it.

‘Mister Wong’, die Asia-​Kette, hat sich nun auch beim Bahnhof Basel niedergelassen. Die Einrichtung ist noch ganz in Ordnung, die Bedienung ist zwar nett, aber man benötigt Glück, um eine gut deutschsprechende Bedienungsperson zu bekommen. Das Essen ist auf Teller geklatschte Ware, die man zwar gerade noch knapp essen kann, aber deren Verzehr weit entfernt von Genuss ist. Wer auf überteuertes, recht geschmackarmes asiatisches Essen steht, ist hier richtig, wer aber wirklich asiatisch essen will und dazu noch etwas Leckeres essen will, ist hier komplett falsch.

Pas terrible du tout, personnel pas sympathique (né parlez pas autre chose que de l’allemand sinon ils le seront encore moins !), plats très moyens (ça sent le congelé) et très durs à digérer. Je né le recommande pas :(

Gut für den schnellen Lunch, aber insgesamt kein Glanzlicht der asiatischen Küche. Meine Favoriten sind Chicken Fried Rice und Chicken Fried Noodles, aufgepeppt mit einem Schälchen Soja– oder Sweet&Sour-Sauce.

Geraud und ich waren heute mal wieder in Mr. Wong zum Mittagessen.
Wir bestellten Grünes Curry und Rotes Curry jeweils mit Riesenkrevetten und Poulet.
Der Geschmack war wie immer gleich und gut.
Die Auswahl im Mr. Wonk beinhaltet: Snacks, Soups, Rice and Noodles, Curries, Sweet and Sour und Specials.
Meine Favoriten bleiben das Yellow Curry, das Red Curry und einige Tagesmenü, die tagtäglich geändert werden.
Die Lage der beiden Restaurants ist sehr gut. Das eine liegt oberhalb von der Steinen vom Barfüsserplatz gesehen, dieses direkt vorm Basel SBB neben HOTEL VICTORIA.
Ins Mr. Wongs gehe ich auch vorallem, wenn ich keine Lust auf BURGER KING oder MC DONALDS habe.
