This hotel is along the waterfront in the Ostermalm section of the city. There are about 30 rooms, each thematically decorated. I booked my single room online about 6 weeks in advance. The price was less than other hotels in the city, but that may have been because I needed just a single, and because the room is quite small. I arrived at 10AM after an overnight flight, and was pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in at that time. I promptly showered and slept a few hours, which was glorious. I was awakened at 2pm by the sounds of the Swedish Naval Drum Core, which was practicing their marching and went right past my room(no joke). Despite the size, the room was very pretty, but was rear-facing into the surrounding neighborhood, rather than facing the water. Thankfully there were thick drapes, because it was midsummer, and it was only dark from midnight to 2AM. The twin bed was fine but had an uncomfortably warm down duvet as the only blanket– too hot for June! The bathroom was clean and simple; space used efficiently with just a shower stall and no tub. There was a trouser press, which seems to be universal in Sweden, but no iron for other items. The room had a double door to reduce noise from the hallway. It was almost completely silent. The hallway had a firm marble floor which kept it quite quiet. I had easy access to their password-protected, free wifi, and was able to use Skype and regular internet easily. Breakfast is apparently a big deal in Sweden. Included in the room price was an enormous buffet breakfast, including hot eggs and bacon, 15 kinds of bread and crispbread, 5 lb cheese logs and cold cut meats, fresh fruit, 4 types of jam, boiled eggs, yogurt and muesli and coffee and open access to an espresso machine. It was beautiful and a great way to start the day as a tourist. The staff was very attentive and kind in many ways including: letting me check in early(above), helping me find various sites during my stay, and showing patience with a very obnoxious family with several children who required special assistance in many ways, including arriving late for breakfast, setting off the smoke detector when making toast, and asking to borrow several umbrellas. Overall this was a lovely hotel with kind staff that made me feel appreciated and comfortable. Despite being a bit expensive, it was well-worth the cost to stay here, and I would certainly stay again
