Unfortunately Unilocal seems to direct me here when I want to do a restaurant review. As this is for the hotel too, I will do a combo rating. My comments have been separated. Restaurant Flamingo — 3 stars It is only open for dinner Monday to Friday. I include the breakfast buffet in my hotel review. Dinner is a buffet, ends at 21:30. Cost is 295 krona(about $ 36 U.S.). The buffet is pretty much the same every night. Bread, maybe a choice of two but generally one kind. Cheese platter, 3 to 4 selections. Grapes. Crackers, but beware some are more like cookies and sweet. A very small serving of beets, goat cheese and spinach. Another small serving of very thin slice of tomato and basil. Neither the beets or tomatoes are more than two bites. They have a platter of shave coopa. Cesar salad with bacon on the side. And pizza, mushroom, pepper and cheese. Thin crust. Those are the standards they have every night. Then they have two entrees. Generally one is fish and the other is Beef, chicken, pork or lamb. Also two types of potatoe, roasted, boiled or mash. Buffet comes with juice or soda. Coffee and tea. There is a bar in the restaurant, but not included in price of buffet. The buffet is very limited for vegetarians. I would not bring picky eaters. Everything I did eat was decent. I find the buffet a little on the pricey side. Ample seating, you never have to wait for a table. Outdoor seating as well. Hotel — 4 stars Stayed here for 3 weeks and now 2. Within walking distance to the arena, about 15. Far enough away you do not get the noise. Located inside a shopping mall with plenty of eateries, 2 grocery stores, 2 pharmacies. Location is right next to a subway stop. About 10 min subway to Stockholm city center. Can take about 15 and will cost about 250 to 300 Krona. Also within walking distance is Haga Park. The hotel is fine for a business traveler. Desk, free wifi, TV(about 4 to 6stations in English), small sitting area, iron, iron board, little refrigerator, coffee and tea, in room safe, rooms are decent size for Europe. No central AC in this hotel, but rooms have fans. Stockholm does not really need AC. Rooms are well maintained and clean. They offer laundry and dry cleaning service which is as expensive as in any hotel. They have a nice wine bar in the lobby, you can get a sandwich or salad. Prices are reasonable. Wine bar open until 23 or 00. Fitness room is small about 4 machines, but you can get s good workout. The have segregated saunas for men and women. Breakfast is included, a buffet but a lot if choices. Bread bar, meat, cheese, vegetables, fruit, cereal bar with yogurts and milk us oodles of toppings. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, meat balls and potatoes. Coffee, tea and juice. If you leave hotel before breakfast starts, three are happy to provide you with a Togo breakfast. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Taxi cabs always lined up outside and front desk happy to arrange you a cab.

Here I spend the worst night I ever had in a hotel! There was some resounance noise from the air condition in such a bad frequency, that I could not sleep at all. During nighttime there is no reception reachable, so I had no chance to change the room. Next morning I told this with red eyes to the reception personal. I hardly got a sorry. This is now a year ago, but I am still getting angry when I am thinking of that and I will for sure not go there again!

The hotel is located a bit more than 10 minutes by subway from the central parts of Stockholm(or around 35 minutes away from Arlanda Airport). The location is inside a shopping mall so may be a bit tricky to find especially if arriving after closing hours(there is a button to push outside). Not a great location for tourists but if you have business in the area(or perhaps are visiting the football stadium) it is ok. The hotel lobby is fairly nice and welcoming. I received very friendly service upon check in. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and also upgraded me to a superior room. The room I got was fairly large with wooden floors. It was however still not a very nice room. The furniture was definitely of the cheaper sort(felt like IKEA) and the floor may have been nice at one point in time. The room was however clean so no complaints there. The bed was decent as well and large enough. The desk was also large enough to work at but they do charge extra(rather expensive as well) for Internet access. I always find it extremely annoying to be charged for Internet access and this type of business hotel should of course not charge for it. The bathroom seemed fairly recently renovated. There was a tub and they also provided a bathrobe. The room also had a mini-bar, safe, coffee & tea and iron and ironing board. Everything else in the room was fairly standard. The breakfast was slightly above average with plenty of choices of both hot and cold food. Everything was a fairly low quality but it is the standard at most hotel breakfasts in these types of hotels. Still the amount of choices makes it slightly better than the average breakfast at a hotel in Sweden. Beware that there may be a long line to check-out. The front desk was manned by 5 people when I was about to check-out but still had to wait more than 5 minutes which is not ok in my opinion. They should create some type of quick check-out for people who just have their room to pay for. All in all a decent hotel but will probably opt for something else next time.

Nice hotel located in the more suburban area of Solna. The hotel is right next to the T-Bana(metro)for Solna Central. It is also very close to the Swedish National Football stadium. When I had to check out, I was to early for breakfast so reception made me a breakfast to take with me, which was a nice gesture.
