Station Triangeln

Triangeln station is actually a very nice looking station. A lot of effort has been put into the design of it and I think it does look nice and it easily handles the crowds. It has a very modern and sleek feel to it and I am sure it cost a lot of money. The fact that they manage to keep it nice and clean is however good.
What they seem to have neglected in the building of it is that many people want to have access to some services inside the station. There is a complete lack of shops, coffee inside, not even a small kiosk. There are of course options outside with the shopping mall next door but many, including myself would like to have something down at the platform level, especially since the trains are often delayed.

Getting off the train at Triangeln feels like stepping into a spaceship somewhat. Hello, Prometheus? The stripy, electronic-​y lighting on the wall and the futuristic architecture certainly help the image of something created out of this world and the triangle-​ish cube on both entrance? Creepily cool.
However, there’s absolutely nothing here compared to Malmö Centralen, for example. No food vendors, no bookshops, just platform and very long escalators to the surface. Fair enough, this place is more like Nørreport in Copenhagen perhaps where everything is just about getting in and off the train.
All train going between Copenhagen and Malmö will stop here and so the cute purple colour train (pågåtåg — damn Swedes and their tendency to overuse the dotty A!) that you can use to go to other places in Skåné /​Scania area.
Must I say that this is usually the station I get off whenever I’m on this side of the pond for shopping? It’s close to the Triangeln mall and very close to Malmö’s food mecca Möllan/​Möllevången.

This station is almost worth a visit just for the architecture. Note the floor tiling pattern with local motifs and the light installations when trains leave the platform.
South exit to möllevångstorget and the hospital (taxis are to be found just in front of the station doors) north exit to the triangeln mall and Konsthallen.
Noteworthy is that There is almost no services nearby, the södra exit has a coffee shop and a bike repair shop outside the doors, but there is nothing inside the station itself.
