I just visited this location last weekend since the Olof Palmes one is undergoing renovations. Compared to the Olof Palmes pre-renovation store, the St Eriksg. Asian Market is much nicer in ambiance(that is, if you care about the ambiance of a grocery store…). Although smaller in square footage, the store looks newer and less cramped, and of course stocks loooong shelves of sauces and Asian cooking essentials in several different brands(soy, wine, thai sauces, hot sauces, Asian bbq sauce, starches, etc. – even MSG!). Like in my Olof Palmes review, this store is the only place I could find any type of rice wine(xiaoxiang rice wine), which is one of my must-need items in my kitchen. Upstairs is where they stock fresh veggies, frozen packages(of drumplings, won tons, fish balls, etc.), sauces/condiments, and snacks. The downstairs area is about the third of the size of the lower level in Olof Palmes, but it still stocks an ok amount of noodles. I found some good instant noodles here. Yessss. I always enjoy saying Hej to the staff at Asian Market. They’re always really friendly and make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for Asian condiments and are in this area, come here. If you’re cooking some kind of Thai dish, I’m almost certain that you’ll find what you need(in terms of sauces/condiments).
