A different approach to restauranting. Everyone gets a plastic card when entering. You find your own table, look over the menu and make your selections. Then you divy up ordering responsibilities and go stand in the pasta, salad, pizza etc line. When you eventually get to the front, the chef makes it to order, then you swipe your card. It took about 15 minutes to place my pasta order for scampi in a red sauce, then 5 minutes to cook. The wife got a wonderful Caesar salad, again made to order. Once we got the food and wine, everything was delicious! The ambiance was great too: each table has freshly growing herb plants like rosemary and basil, if you want to pick some and add it to your meal. It was a bit of a pain to wait in line for 20 minutes to get your food; otherwise I’d give it 5 stars. Well worth it!

The food is made fresh, each and every time I come here. I love their chicken carbonara pasta! The décor is pretty much like any other Vapiano as well as the service and price. For quick and fresh pasta, I definitely recommend this place!

Stood in line for almost 50mins to get pasta. The cook was slow. This is cafeteria style where you stand in different lines depending on what you are ordering and the cook makes it to order. Got the beef steak and mushroom pasta which came with 6 cubes of meat and overdone pasta. It was decent. Got their mid to upper end wine by the glass and it was mediocre at best. Well decorated and the ambience is nice. Would not recommend.

I went to have dinner with my family(wife + 1.5y son) at 17.00. The restaurant soon became packed, loud and every food station had long cues. Not particularly a family restaurant for toddlers but we survived. I enjoyed my pesto pasta and so did my son. Pasta, risotto and one dessert was 255SEK. Reasonable. The quality of the food was ok for the price.

Very up scale. Our first night in Stockholm a Sunday and few things are open. We found this Italian pizza & pasta place and like it. Different with order your own and swipe a card to keep track of items and then you check out at the end. Great atmosphere and nice bar.

The food here was amazingly good! If thus was not the case I would of dropped a star maybe 2 depending on food. I say this because I don’t want to go to dinner and stand in line for 15 minutes, order 2 things they are out of, and stand while my food is cooked a few more minutes to then look for a place to sit and eat. I can understand for lunch but dinner, I’d like to relax after a long day of work or running around. I get the concept just didn’t dig it. The place was very nice looking and staff was fairly friendly. It did seem extra busy which could of made the standing much longer and staff a little more stressed. As I said though, the food was fantastic! I would recommend to go and try it and I would return. I’d just look to see how busy first.

Dinner with my mom, my brother with wife and 2.5 yo kid, my 3 yo and my 9 yo. Vapiano is a German owned Italian food court of sorts where they cook your pasta to order in front of you and you can chose from a wide selection of sauces and pasta types. They also serve pizza and salads. The good stuff: * They offer all cocktails virgin style to the delight of my pregnant sister-in-law who was very pleased with her virgin pink mojito. * Salame e ricotta con rucola pasta was great according to my mom. * My kids really liked the pesto pasta. Could be improved: * They were out of the least expensive red wine and did not offer a different one for the same price. * Rucola pizza was mediocre, too little mozzarella and grana padano, they usually don’t skimp on this at other Vapiano locations. * They served the pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes which wasn’t in the item description and the cook that made it in front of her didn’t ask(they ask about other additions such as chili and garlic) Tips: * It can be quite a wait in line before you have your pasta so if you want to actually want to eat together you might need to spend some time coordinating and synchronizing, especially if some of you order pizza. Since you just sit down to wait for your pizza while you have to stand in line for the pasta you can have the pizza eaters get drinks for everyone since drinks are ordered in a separate bar(a small selection of non-alcoholic beverages available in the pasta stands though). * Milk(for kids you know) is available at the bar. * Don’t forget to grab some complimentary gummy bears by the cashier when leaving.

Vapiano is an Italian-themed cafeteria-restaurant that skews weird in ambiance and conventional in food choices. On offer are salads, pizza, pasta, dessert, wine, and spirits, but the choices are rather limited, so unless you particularly enjoy a Vapiano dish, the restaurant could get repetitive quick. The restaurant itself is spacious, well-decorated, and noisy. There is plenty of seating, especially for parties, and there always seems to be a spot available. The service is(understandably) non-existent, so first-time visitors are advised to ask questions, since the staff assumes you know how the place works. Vapiano manages to balance limited, though delicious, menu items with an attractive interior, at a slightly elevated price. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially as an alternative to the ubiquitous fusion cuisine in Stockholm.

I came here for dinner after a movie and it was yummy! They give you a card, you order at the counter and you pay off the card at the end of your meal. The cards cost 750 crowns or $ 113 if you lose them. This is to prevent people from claiming they lost their card so they don’t have to pay for their meal. All of the pastas are homemade here. I ordered the filetto di manzo e rucola with penne pasta and it was delicious and a little spicy. I had a bite of my sister’s bolognese pasta and it was warm and delicious. A really great comfort food for a cold and rainy day. The ambience in the restaurant was really nice. There were potted herbs that you could pick from to add to your meal. There was also a potted tree in the middle of our table which I thought was cool. This restaurant is self service — you get your own water and order at the counter. Complimentary bread and olive oil comes with the meal. There was also a bowl of free gummy bears at the front which I thought was cute!
