Review for the takeaway lunch!
I had the noodles with oumph, sötsyrlig gurka, mandusås and ‘Sean Connery’. It was my second time eating oumph in a Stockholm restaurant and it’s great how it’s being embraced as a vegetarian option, the texture is far superior to other alternatives in a salad!
The pickled cucumbers were a nice touch and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly, this was a decent healthy lunch but it’s didn’t blow my mind (more of a 3.5 than a 4). However! The creamy mayo Sean Connery sauce felt completely out of place with all of the Asian fresh flavours of this salad, it didn’t go with any of the elements and would have been far better subbed for just a fresh chili/​garlic/​palm sugar/​lime dressing or even better– a satay variant. A nice enough lunch but kick it up with the sauces and I’ll be back for more (:

My favorite meal in Sweden! Hip happening place that was filled with a mixture of young and middle aged people. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated right away at a community table. Great variety of dishes, from cheeses, charcuterie, seafood, meats, and veggies! There is a dish for everyone. They also have their own grocery store and deli so the dishes you are getting are fresh and if you decide you liked a dish, you could take it home.
WHAT WE GOT:
Half plate of the Steak Tartare with roe and raw yolk
Charcuterie for 1
Cheese Board for 1
Half plate of the boiled shrimp (we saw everyone order this dish so we wanted to try it too)
I really liked how you can customize the size of your dish so that you can get smaller portions and more dishes. They accidentally made a full order of the steak tartare for us, but only charged us for the half order. Everything was delicious and flavorful, and my boyfriend and I were completely stuffed at the end of the meal. The steak tartare was presented beautifully with dollops of crème fraîche, roe, and raw egg. They added something crunchy, not sure what it was, that gave great texture. The charcuterie and cheese board came with a wide variety of everything, with olives and jams. And lastly the boiled shrimp came with a surprise! They were covered with shrimp roe, maybe they are in season? These were served cold and with a aoili.
They also have a great drink selection! I enjoyed the espresso martini.
This place may not serve traditional swedish food, but you can tell this is where the locals go for great food.

Love this place, no drunks in sight and a lovely grocery store/​resturant combo. (NOT the trashy meat counter that has some cooked meat in your local supermarket kind at all.)
The atmosphere is good and the people are fun.

One of the best restaurant meals I had during my recent stay. I had the dagens ratt (plat du jour — meal of the day) which was fish served on a pureed celery root with deep fried onions. It was excellent. My wife had sausage with potatoes (of course). Also delicious. The staff was casual but very attentive. Definitely going back next visit!

Tuna, fish soup and homemade sausages are delicious. Great mix of hipsters and 50 somethings (like us!). A charcuterie plate to start is a must.

Had Lunch here, i have to say first i was not sure what to get but the daily menue was a nice surprice of very good high quality food for a nice small amount of Kroners;), the staff ia friendly and helpfull with translating the menue in english, the store how is build in with the restaurant has a very nice selection of high quality products

I must say, I have been visiting in Stockholm (from California) for the past 4 days and thus was probably my favorite meal to date (Tranan was also pretty memorable!).
We started with the whole crab, which — to be honest — was a bit difficult to eat without the shell cracker, was still quite good. The entrees were awesome, particularly the Rainbow Trout was … Sensational. Words can’t describe. Seriously. The yellow beets. The sauce. The fish. So savory, yet sweet. Delicious! My boyfriend was a bit nervous that I was enjoying the dish more than our relationship. At least that made an interesting conversation
The atmosphere was very nice and the stairs were awesome. Very accepting environment and would recommend to all people!
Put this on your list, you’d be silly not to try it out.

I had two really lovely dinners here. Try to sit outside if the weather allows so you can see the park. I don’t eat meat (aside from the occasional fish), but found the menu accommodating and the food tasty. They have a quality local brewery on tap that’s worth trying, and the kanelbulle dessert (a not-​too-​sweet mix between a cinnamon bun and bread pudding with strawberry ice cream on top) was really good. The service was a bit slow at times, but the staff was nice and the food good enough to make up for the delay.

Second time here … (first was 4 yrs ago !)… Food is good, music is good, and the staff is really friendly ! Nice people ! Love this place !

Great place for drinks and people watching but the food is not that good. Poor menu and overrated prices. But if you wanna have breakfast or just a beer in the evening you should definitely visit! Busy place in hipster area.

I love the food I had here! It was great! I was a little skeptical about this place at first because it’s very heavy handed in it’s meat usage in a «modern european» kind of way. I’m not much of a meat eater and thought I was in trouble when we got the menus and the waiter recommended the raw beef straight away! However, the Asparagus risotto or «SPARRISRISOTTO» was perfect! It had «green and white asparagus, fried rocket salad [and] valencia almonds.» A vegetarian party in your mouth! The best part of the evening for everyone was actually the desert! The «CHOKLAD I UGN» was a like a chocolate lava cake with it’s «half Baked chocolate, coconut topping [and] banana ice cream» melting over top. OMG. SO gooooooood! I will be back for it again! FOR SURE! ;)
The location is nice and in the older «hipster» area of Söder. I think a lot of «hipsters» in this place are a bit older too now. This Urban Deli seems like a great «happening“place for the after work «yuppie» crowd. I can definitely see why this place appeals to them in keeping with the «cool atmosphere» at a slightly higher price tag. This is a nice place to meet your «cool» friends at. Just make sure to get there a bit early in order to grab a spot… I’m not sure they take reservations at this location.
I also have to mention that I really love the market in the front! It looks like they have expanded their offerings a bit from when they first opened! They have a lot of freshly prepared meals, pasta, dressings, etc. that they make themselves. I think I might have even seen a small «Matkasse» (food bag – kind of like the «Blue Apron» style concept in the states). Despite the pricing being a bit high, I really like all that this place has to offer! You can get drinks, dinner and groceries all at once and yet it doesn’t feel weird! It feels fun and cool! I could definitely see a repeat on that dinner I just had in the near future (or even just desert and some wine would be great!) Five stars for a nice evening here!

Simply put. It doesn’t get any better then this!!! Amazing food and service. Nice buzz. Highly recomended!

Neat deli/​restaurant eatery. Steak tartare was delicious. Friends had Wallenbergare (big veal meatball with mash potatoes, peas, and lingonberries). They claws it was very good!
Deli has neat selection of meats. Vegetables and jams.

Once again the proved they are really good at Raw beef.
Please go there and try this delicious dish together with the wonderful environment.

Urban Deli is my favorite place for AW in söder. It’s busy, it’s cool, it’s social! The service is fast and the staff very friendly. You will feel like a regular, even if you are not ;-)
And don’t miss the Deli market inside, it’s full of good stuff like the caramel popcorn :-)

The menu is nice but the food was good, not fantastic.
Mojitos, beers and wine very good.
We had the fish pot and tartare Swedish style.

We did not have the time to really explore the area but it seemed quite lively.

Disclaimer: Urban Deli came at the end of a phenomenal day of sun and friends and building-​up-​a-​massive-​hunger-​through-​walking so please keep that in mind through this glowing review.
We step into Urban Deli and they are blasting Drake. Uncensored. My friend — a die-​hard Drake fan/​atic — starts rapping along in the ‘drinking yogurts’ section. Things kicked off from there.
We looked at the restaurant menu and it was nice, albeit we had a hankering for the Swedish meatballs which were not featured. The patio for the restaurant looked nice, but the park across the street looked equally appealing. Impromptu picnic, gang!
Because we had already mentally budgeted for a full sit-​down meal we were in a spending mood. We got banana/​yogurt/​mango smoothie, and orange cola soda to drink as well as berry muffins, black truffle chips (YES, INDEED), pesto rigatoni, containers of mango frozen yogurt, and a cinnamon swirl bun. There were other great ingredients like a caramel hazelnut spread, fresh loaves of beautiful bread, delicious looking cheeses and charcuterie. They also have a juice/​smoothie bar.
I love the selection here: it doesn’t have everything, but what it stocks is just a little different, just a tickity special. It made shopping a real treat.
The real piece de resistance for our merry band of picnickers was the fact that they have a pre-​prepared meals section. Covered in plastic wrap you can take the «cold foods» sections out and pop the portion of the meal for warming up direct into the restaurant-​grade microwave provided. Options included veggie lasagne, a seafood-​in-​tomato ragu dish and my much-​loved meatballs. Served with lingonberries and a pickled cucumber salad, these beauts were perfectly cooked and served with a side of heavenly potatoes and some gravy that was «worthy of swimming in» (quote from co-​picnicker).
Take it to the park! Perfect meal (Drake was just a bonus).
Unilocal note: why do more North American places not get on this pre-​prepared-​just-​need-​a-​quick-​nuke microwave model? So smart!

Urban deli features a hipster crowd translplated in the back of an upscale supermarket (similar to a Dean & Deluca in NYC). We had luck getting a table without reservations and were actually the last to leave.
We ordered a yummy cheese plate to start and I had the mussels in white wine sauce. It was lobster season in Stockholm so I couldn’t help but order some seafood.
The food was really really good. The cheese was selected by the chef and he did not disappoint, giving us a nice variety of cheeses as well as jams/​dried fruits to compliment to strong flavors. My mussels were probably the biggest portion I’ve ever ordered. The sauce was amazing and the fries were unbeatable. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area.

Je né me souviens pas ce qu’existait dans ce locale avant, j’ai l’impression que ça a toujours était Urban Deli. Ce temple de nourriture se trouve dans «Söder» le quartier ultra chic de Stockholm et mets le ton dans l’assiette des habitants: si c’est dans l’air de temps, on le trouve ici.
Chez «Urban» ils ont tout compris, ici ils capte tout la clientèle car avec un seul atmosphère ils ont réuni tout types de restauration: Petit déjeuner, brunch tout le weekend, déjeuner, apéro (avec charcuteries, fromages) et After Work, dîner, traiteur (prends ton lunchbox ici et mange le au parc «Vitabergsparken» avec vu sur tout Stockholm, à 5 minutes de Urban Deli). Et même une épicerie et boulangerie. Perso j’adore ces fruits de mer, les crevettes fumées accompagnées d’aïoli, ou le lunchbox avec le saumon fumé à froid et fèves edamame.
Matin, midi ou soir, tout les moment de la journée sont bon pour y aller et on est sur de jamais y être seul.

Den etwas anderen Supermarkt findet man in Stockholms SoFo auf Södermalm: Urban Deli. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt der Laden wie ein stylischer Supermarkt, der die üblichen Artikel bietet, die man in einem Supermarkt eben so findet, plus zusätzlich ein paar exquistere Artikel und Delikatessen aus aller Welt. Geht man durch den Laden weiter nach hinten kommt man schließlich zu einer riesigen Theke, welche man von allen Seiten umkreisen kann: Hier findet man bereits vorbereitete Mahlzeiten, die man direkt vor Ort verköstigen oder einfach nach Hause nehmen kann. Es gibt jeden Tag zu den diversen Angeboten (Salate, Fisch, Schalentier, Brot etc.) ein Tagesangebot und diverse nette Specials zum Lunch (nur unter der Woche Frühstück bekommt man dort jedoch jeden Tag serviert). Wer sich mal nach Södermalm begibt, sollte das Deli nicht auslassen! Im Sommer kann man sich auch etwas von dort mitnehmen und ein Picknick direkt nebenan auf dem Nytorget machen. Die Atmosphäre ist modern, die Preise etwas gehobener. SoFo eben!
