The staff here was very kind and attentive and they have English menus that clearly explain the different dishes to the reader. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. We has paneer masala that was exceptionally bland and shrimp korma that was overly sweet. The garlic naan was, thankfully, very tasty. Indian food is my absolute favorite and I have never been as underwhelmed as I was with this meal. Perhaps spicy food is not as popular in Sweden as it is elsewhere but this was Indian food without pizzazz.

We stayed nearby and gave Tre Indier a go since we were feeling tired and didn’t want to travel far for dinner. We arrived bit late for dinnertime so the restaurant was not at all crowded leaving us with several options on where to sit. We were handed an English menu upon being seated which was appreciated. As someone who does not speak Swedish(although I’d love to learn) this was very much appreciated. The menu items dishes listed included a brief description so you’d know what to expect for those who may not all be that familiar with the cuisine. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, attentive and pleasant from our initial contact with the person who greeted us to the person who handed us our bill. This is a great choice for Indian fare in the Soder area. I’ve had my fair share of authentic Indian food and the dishes served here were flavorful, tasted fresh and certainly did not disappoint.

Stockholms best indian food. A very modest place in a calmer part of Södermalm, and the food is amazing. Good menue too, with short explinations of the dishes so you know how spicy and what flavours to expect.

Maybe its sentimentality, but I feel Tre Indier is the best Indian restaurant in all of Stockholm. Let me explain. I come from San Diego, CA, and had never had Indian food before moving to Sweden. My girlfriend and I first ate at Tre Indier in 2010, our first informal date per say. It was my first time ever experiencing Indian cuisine and I was absolutely enthralled by the food: we have been regulars sense. In the past four years I’ve had my fair share of Indian food from all over Stockholm, Gothenburg, and London. Each time has been a wonderful experience for my taste buds(with one major exception, but they’re closed now so who cares) but each time I couldn’t help but compare it to what was my favourite, Tre Indier. Their food in my opinion is top notch, enough so that my girlfriend and I return at least three times a month. Next time you’re in the Söder area, do you self a favor and check out Tre Indier.

During my 2 year tenure, I have tried various Indian restaurants in Stockholm. Most of the restaurant is owned or employ Bangladeshi people, so the food has a slight sweet taste to it(typical of taste from that region). Tre Indier is one place where I have found to be very close to typical North Indian taste in terms of flavor and spiciness. My fav dish is Chicken with Balti or Karai sauce, both of which are quite tasty and hot. Each dish is served with salad and a plate full of rice and naan needs to be ordered extra. The quality of naan is also very good at this place. Do make sure to order Kingfisher beer with your meal
