Cute little place, dim and cosy, and great food! The service was great, our server was really nice and friendly. The hot dogs were extremely tasty and the tapas were really good to especially the shrimp! The atmosphere was great! Definitely coming back soon! New Favorite restaurant in Stockholm.

The small and cozy deli serves a mix of sausages, charcuteries and tapas. It is a bit difficult to say what type of food it is as they mix local produce with other things that they just think are good. It is not the place that will give you the most innovative or creative food experiences but they do deliver some good food at decent prices and with an interesting selection of beer. I would suggest trusting the recommendations of the staff as they are very honest about what is their favorites. We sampled the sausage and that is really something that needs be sampled. Great balance of flavors and with nice mustard and ketchup. I was skeptic about the moose lasagna as it felt as a tourist thing but was convinced and it was the best dish of the night. Really superbly put together and I could have had twice as much of it. The grilled provolone cheese was also great. The charcuteries were not bad but also not very exciting so would rather go for something else next time. We also had a great bread pudding as dessert, perfect to share and the plum jam with it had a really refreshing acidity. In general they impressed greatly with their ability to combine flavors. The drink selection was a bit weak when it comes to wine but the beer selection impressed. They have a rotating selection of craft beers on tap as well as a large number of bottled beers and also some big bottles of beer that are perfect to share. Service was also extremely friendly and they are not afraid to make recommendations so we felt very pleased when leaving the place.

A tiny little place in a 505 year old building. Henrik(bartender, server, busser, etc) is a lot of fun and very friendly. Excellent food… especially the various tapas — fried cheese with sausage, olives, mushroom soup and caprisi salad. Stockholm Brewing Company IPA — West Coast(USA) style IPA is excellent. It was easy to get a spot in early October, but I bet it is crazy busy in the summer. Next trip to Stockholm I will make this my first stop. Thanks again to Henrik, who was great.

We were out looking for a place to eat lunch and were intrigued by the name and stopped to take a look. The restaurant is slightly below street level and has a nice cozy feel. They were full and we didn’t want to wait, so we decided to come back for dinner instead. Boy am I glad we did. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and perfect for a Romaric dinner for two. It was also perfect for the group of ten at the table across the room so it suits all parties well. The only downside is the restaurant is small so it can fill up fast. The server told us they are planning on opening a larger location soon so keep an eye out for that one too. As for the food quality… superb. I really enjoyed it. I had the sausage(served in a bun with home made sauce) and«tapas»(appetizers). With this order one gets to choose three from a long list of different tapas. All were really good. My husband had the meat platter(different types of sliced cold cuts similar to salami and pepperoni) that came with a melted cheese in a bowl with slices of a bread like a baguette. The cheese and bread were my favorite. The cheese is not really soft night to dip the bread, but it can be scooped out with the spoon and put on the bread. It has a bit of an olive oil and herbs that gave it a slight pizza flavor. The food was so good we are thinking about going back again on our last night before flying home to the USA.

I have to admit I wasn’t convinced about this place, BUT I’m SOO glad I gave this placed a chance. We ordered 2 of Joseph’s homemade sausage and 4 tapas. Amanda and the cook did a great job making our experience so wonderful. We had a delightful summer dessert. We were told that their dessert changes and as well as their menu! We recommend this place if you live in Stockholm or just visiting.

My wife and I accidentally stumbled into this hidden gem as we made our way towards the Old City from the Royal Palace. A little serendipity made our day because this place is amazing! Initially, the lunch crowd outside piqued my interest. As I peeked inside through the rustic window, the food being served, tapas style, whet my appetite. The«Deli» only sits about 15 people and we were fortunate to get a table right away. To maximize the seating capacity of this tiny cellar space, some tables have to be shared with other patrons. We sat next to another couple. Sounds a little too close for comfort? Don’t worry; the tables are large enough for you to feel completely at ease and relaxed in the intimate setting. The décor has a charming, old country/medieval ambiance. The exposed(original) ceiling beams, coupled with wood tables and brick walls, conjure feelings of being in some quaint village pub centuries ago. I was astonished when I discovered that The Hairy Pig Deli was established in 1490(not sure if the name was changed). Now, onto the food… The Good Everything!!! The menu consists of about 12 different tapas, beer and wine, along with a homemade sausage of the day. My wife and I each ordered the combination of the homemade sausage, served in warmly toasted bun, with some magical sauce akin to ketchup, and a choice of three tapas. The price: 199SEK per combo(about $ 23 at the current rate of exchange). In addition to the sausage, I had boar salami, salmon pâté, and potatoes. The particulars: –The sausage was the best that I have ever tasted. The owner, who I could tell was serious about his sausages, prepared it with love. –The salmon pâté was divine, served with bread sticks and small pieces of toasted baguette. –The potatoes were in a — what I presume — sour cream based sauce with hints of garlic. We devoured them in about one minute. –The salami was very tasty with a little spicy finish, which I found to be wonderful. The Bad The place is very small and getting a table may be hard. I overheard a customer being told that the wait would be at least one hour. You must keep in mind that the world runs a little slower in Europe and people typically take longer to consume their meals. The Ugly The stuffed head of a hairy pig in the window display was a little ghoulish, but not incongruent to the overall setting. P. S. After doing a little research, my wife informed me that The Hairy Pig was rated number 9 out of over 2,000 food establishments in all of Stockholm, according to TripAdvisor. I would highly recommend this place and will surely frequent it when I return to Sweden. I’m sure the Hairy Pig will still be around.

I have been two days in Stockholm and it was one of the best places I have eaten. The food is really good, homemade and high quality for the charcuterie. The waiter is really nice and took the time to explain us the tapas. The price is correct for the quality and especially for the location. However one star less because I didn’t find the tapas so great compare to the hot dog(yummiest ever omg !). Take the time to look arround you, many details ! And the bread… Surprise I really recommend this address in the nice area of the old city.

Wonderful little tapas restaurant hidden away in Gamla Stan. Accommodating staff, was able to book a table for 8 people very last minute, and got nothing but great vibes from the staff members. Wonderful range of meats and sides, especially try the potato salad and the wine salami. Celebrated a birthday here, and staff gave each guest complimentary sparkling wine which was lovely! Will absolutely return here again!

Tiny but cozy restaurant. We arrived late about 8pm and they close at 9 pm but they were happy to squeeze us into a little table halfway into the windowsill. It was nice and relaxing after a full day of walking around Skansen and Gamla Stan. The homemade sausages were the best I ever had and a great deal if your order 3 tapas along with the sausage. The salmon pâté was excellent. The owner? was super friendly and played an interesting mix of music from the 70’s and 80’s. Nice selection of wines. Love the Hairy Pig!

Such brilliant flavors, mouth watering textures, and interesting presentation for a tapas and sausage restaurant! Ordered the famous homemade sausage with homemade ketchup and spicy mustard(took off the mustard) and ordered it with 1 peeled shrimp with salsa vierde for only 135 kr. The sausage had flavor and wasn’t too dense or too fatty to make it heavy. The peeled shrimp was DELICIOUS. It was served afloat French baguette slices with olive oil seasoned garlic slices that literally together created a flavor party in my mouth. Also tried the truffle salami which, hello, if you like truffle oil, know that this is for you because the truffle oil was so beautiful infused into the salami. Another tapa was the salmon pâté which was perfect with the crackers it was served with and the grilled vegetables with goat cheese Terrine. I was a little disappointed by the last tapa because the vegetables were tiny and smushed into a tiny contained while smother by an overwhelming amount of goat cheese. I personally do not have the palette for goat cheese so this tapa was not the best for me. Check out my pictures for the adorable presentation of the tapas and then come try it out for yourself!

Wow, this place really surprised me. I was expecting a very light lunch to hold me over until supper but what I got was a big and impressive meal for just 135 Kronas. That’s fairly inexpensive by Stockholm standards. My meal included«Joseph’s homemade sausage» and«one tapas». See my photo. Everything was presented with perfection. Just look at the bread cracker shaped like a wild boar. It was extremely cool looking. I almost didn’t want to eat it. The sausage was great and my one tapas was great too. For the tapas(aka: side dish) I ordered the smoked salmon pâté. Boy oh boy, when I was done, I was full. I felt like a stuffed pig. There were only two people running the show: one server girl and one chef in the kitchen. The restaurant is super tiny. The inside is very cool looking because it looks like something time warped from the Middle Ages. So Hairy Pig, you get a big hairy thumbs from me. I’d return again.

Basically there’s only one main on the meny; homemade sausage. You then decide how many tapas you want to go with it. I suppose you could just go for several tapas but you’d have to be a real meat lover then. New waitress is a bit of a ditz but friendly. The sausages are really good. Friendly atmosphere. Not for vegetarians or picky eaters.

Absolutely loved this place. Had the homemade sausage with a single tapas of baked provolone and was not disappointed. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful to us Americans not in the know — something not to be taken for granted. The ambiance of the place is great. Right in old town, it steps down into a wonderfully decorated single room with tons of character. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch to enjoy the fine food, décor and service.

So far during my visit this place has been one of the highlights. I went in the early evening around 6:30PM and found myself to be the only person there. This gave me a chance to chat with my server, Henry, who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and beer list. I tried the grilled provolone cheese as a starter which was absolutely delicious but could easily server three people. I then opted for the sausage of the day(in this case chorizo) with three tapas. The menu is very simple, every day there is a new sausage and you can order that with one, two, or three tapas as side dishes. Or you can order the tapas individually in small or large portions. I chose the moose lasagna(that days special), smoked shrimps, and boar salami as my tapas. All of them were delicious but I did not realize the shrimp would be whole and I’d have to peel to eat them which was fine, although a bit messy. What really put this experience over the top were the other patrons. Over the course of my meal other customers started pouring in. Most of them were also fellow travelers from the U.S. so I had a couple of nice conversations which is always nice in a foreign place. I highly recommend Rossa which is a nice Italian double bock they have stocked. It paired very well with the spice of the sausage. They also sell their home made jams and sausages and will even slice and vacuum seal the sausage you purchase if you like to keep it safe for the trip back to wherever you may be visiting from.

Before coming to Stockholm from the US, I went online to find a new place to explore and found this. Our group of 18 consisted of people all over the world and we were looking for a place to accommodate everyone and the owner did not disappoint. Our first course was the charcuterie platter with baked cheese and the second was the pepper sausages with green olive tempanade hummus, smoked salmon pâté, and snails. Every bite was more scrumptious than the first. We had a lovely experience and is on our list to go back to when we go again next year. Definitely an experience you won’t forget!

Happened on this place when wandering around Stockholm, looking for a place to eat, which had good beers. It has good beers, home-made sausages and lots of hams, therefore, I likes lots :) The owner is wonderful, and gave us some great tips for where to eat next(The Black Swan) — would definitely go again!
