The 100 year old football stadium in Stockholm is a great place to visit for football but they also hold concerts and track and field competitions here(as well as the finish for the Stockholm Marathon). The stadium was built for the Olympics 1912 and thus is a 100 years this year. For football games it has a capacity of 14417 spectators. Naturally it is not the most modern stadium in Sweden but it does have an old-fashioned charm. Today it mainly acts as the home pitch for Djurgårdens IF( ) — the best and most popular club in Stockholm and commonly referred to as the pride of Stockholm. They have won 3 titles since 2000 and are by far the most successful club in the past 10 years in Sweden. Djurgården are also currently the only top level club playing in the city of Stockholm(there are a few suburban clubs fairly close to Stockholm as well). This is planned to be the last full season(yet unclear exactly when the new stadium will be finished) to be played here so do take the chance to watch some quality football here before it is too late.
