Siam Thai

Perfect Thai Place to go to! We were exhausted and hungry after arriving. Asked the concierge about the nearest Thai place around and directed us here. I started with the coconut soup (delicious) and ended with Prawn Pad Thai (also delicious). My husband had Pad See Ew and I had a taste of it and it was delicious as well.
We ate outside and really experience Gamla Stan. The waiter told us about downstairs part of the restaurant, worth looking at. He said it used to be a jail. Kinda cool.

Best Thai ever! If you want to eat Thai in Stockholm (or anywhere in the world) than this is the place. Every bite was excellent. Such a rich taste. Very nice and helpful service. Great house wine. Loved the music (70’s rock) quite unusual for a Thai restaurant. They don’t take reservations, but we were lucky since it was raining and not a lot of people were going out on that particular friday.

Went with a friend on an unusually beautiful spring day. Everyone was out it seemed, on this very picturesque street with its cute and quaint shops in the beautiful old town.
The restaurant had outdoor seating on the sidewalk which looks very nice if you like it. We chose to eat in the warmer basement, which is exceptionally decorated to look like a catacomb underground tunnel of some kind. We found it very nice, maybe even romantic for a quiet evening.
Since this was lunch, we ordered off the daily lunch specials. But when I asked for the salmon, I was told it’s not available! So it’s on the daily lunch special list (with only a handful of other items), it’s just before noon, and yet it’s not available? Fail already.
Got the vege dish instead — it was ok but nothing to write home about. My friend got the chicken masaman curry but it was disappointing. Watery broth lacking flavor.
The waiter looked like he’d rather be anywhere else than here and wasn’t too helpful or accommodating, eventhough we tried our best to be friendly and easy — hmm, shouldn’t it be the other way around?
Probably wouldn’t visit except for a quasi-​romantic quick meal, if nothing else good is available in the old town.

It’s a small thai restaurant in the old town neighbourhood. I ordered the spicy seafood stir fried dish. It’s OK… but considering Sweden is supposed to be famous for good seafood, a dish of stir fried frozen seafood is slightly disappointing. Cheap for Sweden.
