Scandic Klara

Un hotel ubicado muy céntrico, a lado de la estación central, con lo que para moverte por Estocolmo es genial. Además está rodeado de tiendas y bares/​restaurantes así que sin duda es una buena opción. Reservando por booking nos salió muy bien de precio. Tiene un buen desayuno buffet por la mañana y el las instalaciones del hotel están muy bien. La única pega que las habitaciones son muy pequeñas y la cama demasiado blandita.

Great place to pull out your laptop and get a working lunch in! The interior is really nice and the staff is super kind and helpful. I ordered the avocado sandwich with poached eggs on top and it was ok. Nothing really exceptional about it, but I thought it was decent! The continental breakfast looked like a good value for the price. You get a lot of options! Be sure to ask them to bring out their selections of jams for your bread if you order that. It was a nice quiet restaurant to sit in for a while. The staff was chill and didn’t mind us sitting in there for a good 4 hours!
They also serve all day breakfast, which is always awesome! I just wish they would offer regular Eggs Benedict and not just the salmon one. I can’t bring myself to eat fish for breakfast but I love Eggs Benedict! =P

Wow, what a breath of fresh air! Great hotel with super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. This hotel is in a great location in the middle of downtown Stockholm. You are in walking distance to many things! The breakfast buffet is amazing in a beautiful courtyard. The hotel’s restaurant has wonderful, delicious lunches, and dinners! Very tasty and tastefully presented. The waitresses are very helpful, and beautiful! The front desk staff are also very helpful and they greet you with a smile at all times.

Very clean and comfortable and less than a 5 min walk from T-​centralen. There is a fitness center and restaurant in the building and the location is very convenient to many bars, cafes and extensive shopping opportunities. The one thing to be aware of is that the rooms are very small. My husband and I were traveling with 2 large suitcases and our room (with a queen size bed) was so small that we could not have both suitcases open at once because we could not lay them flat at the same time.

Of all the Scandic hotels I have stayed at, I do believe that Scandic Klara in Stockholm must be my favorite. Allow me to elaborate.
The service is nice, and the people that work here are pleasant to deal with and accommodating as far as I could tell. No unnecessary questions about what room I was staying in when making requests and inquiries. I liked it a lot, but then again I am a sucker for smiles in the service industry. The kind you don’t get when people are working for tips. but I digress.
The negative
Is that there is a TV but they will charge you for using it for spending your vacation watching TV. I kinda like that they punish the easily distracted — but I really wanted to browse Swedish television. Also the key card for your room is used to work the elevator. This works rarely at best. 10+ tries per elevator trip isn’t smooth, and you feel like a failure when fellow guests watch you struggle with legacy technology.
The positive
Is the location. Just a stroll from the Stockholm Central Train Station it is ideal location for anything. The metro station is even closer. For general tourist purposes the location is nothing short of perfect.
The amazing
What they call breakfast is what I consider is the feast where fallen viking warriors dine in the company of Asar at long tables in Valhalla. Sure the eggs and the bacon is sub-​par, so don’t even go that narrow road but instead embrace the yogurts, the sour milk, the musli… and if that doesn’t tickle your fancy — go straight for the dozen kinds of bread and garnish slices with meats, cheeses, eggs, fish and vegetables. How about being a little Scandinavian when in Scandinavia and don’t even miss that ‘continental breakfast’. This breakfast is given 6 stars. there was nothing I was lacking — but cursing my appetite for not being great enough.
