Bad. Rooms like a college dormitory. Very bare bones. There are only two reasons to stay at this hotel: 1. You are working at the industrial park where it is located. 2. You are going on the ferry at the port. It is far from anywhere to eat, see, or do. Stay away unless you meet either of those two criteria.

Stern.

This Scandic hotel is known as the Arinade and is located close to the docks where ships come and go to Estonia and other places afar. I stayed here for a week because I had to go to a conference in Stockholm. When we have these conferences, twice a year, the nations push the boat out and arrange quite posh, usually four-star hotels, for the attendees. Now I don’t know if this one had four-stars but to me it was more in the two-star range. The rooms were OK, very basic; nothing like a posh place. There was free wifi in the room, which is always nice, and decent television with many shows in English(the Swedish don’t dub tv shows and movies). The worst part of the room was the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken and the bathroom was quite small. The shower was a typical shower head that you got under and the water went right onto the floor and down a drain i.e., no proper shower to speak of. Instead of nice little bars of soap and little bottles of shampoo and conditioner, the soap supply was one of those that you find in a men’s room in McDonalds or other public place; put your hand under it, squeeze and get a handful of soap. Not what I expect in a hotel that isn’t exactly cheap to stay in. On the other hand, the breakfast was plentiful and quite good.
