Sardin

Despite living in Södermalm and passing Sardin almost every day, it took me a while to actually try it out. Now I wish I would have tried it earlier.
Sardin is a grand restaurant, albeit small. With few seats and a very intimate atmosphere the personal and attentive service is right in place and makes you feel welcome without intruding.
The food is comprised of small tapas and pinxos dishes, all carefully prepared in the kitchen behind the bar and they mix traditional flavors with more experimental ones.
Sardin is a perfect place for a tête-​a-​tête with a friend or a loved one or as a start of a night out. Te restaurant won’t fit a crowd but if you are a couple on your way out in the night, it’s close to perfect.
Sardin has a small but satisfactory wine list but a limited selection of beers. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the meager selection adds to the rustic and homely feeling of the place (I usually crave a wide beer selection).
In short, Sardin is a little gem at Nytorget with good food, great service and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Delightfully tasty with a home-​like cozy feeling, a perfect place to enjoy some quality time and gourmet food. Kind-​hearted and entertaining staff, a good variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes together with a professional selection of wines make Sardin one of my favourite spots on Stockholm’s cuisine map.

Followed a friend to this bar for a glass of bubblies, and what an excellent call to do so! This is a small place, the staff is adorable and the food is lovely!
We had charcuteries, walnut-​chèvre French style quesadillas and the pavlova. All delicious, but the desert apéritif was what really made my day!

Lovely restaurant off the beaten path!
Enjoyed dinner here with my husband while traveling in Stockholm. Cozy place with really nice service, the waitress was also the owner. No English menu but she explained everything to us and we had an excellent meal! Standouts were the fried cheese balls, the mussels and the figs! Dessert is well worth getting, the chocolate cake was out of this world! Small place, so go on an off time to ensure you get a table!
