Good Indian food for a reasonable price. We tried Mango chicken balti and Chicken tikka masala together with Nan bread. All of the foods were tasty. The service was friendly and quick. We recommend this restaurant.

Authentic? I dunno. But it’s delicious and it’s a great lunch deal! I had a deal from Let’s Deal(like Groupon) which was 2 for the price of 1 for their lunch buffet. When we got there the man told us that they actually don’t have the lunch buffet — which was weird since it’s still advertised on all of their signs and materials. But whatever — he said the deal would apply to the normal menu, so it still counted for lunch and we got more than enough food as it was. For 79 kr(the price of their lunch special, now that there’s not a buffet), you get a main dish(such as sizzler or tikka masala), a basic salad bar, rice, drinks(not soda but lingon juice and lemonade), and coffee. The salad is standard and basic — lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and dressing. There is also some dry thin bread with sauce available. I ordered mango chicken tikka masala, and while it perhaps wasn’t the best tikka masala I’ve ever had, it was still downright delicious! The portions were large and we didn’t have to wait long at all, but it was still fresh. I decided to order garlic naan bread as well, which cost an extra 15SEK. Non-garlic bread is 10SEK. It was also delicious and filling. The place is still quite new and looks really good, with nice décor and Indian Bollywood-type music playing in the background. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; we opted for indoor as Folkungagatan can be quite loud and we wanted some quiet. The staff aren’t over-the-top involved or friendly, but they are still friendly and respectful and helpful in all ways. It was pretty much empty when we went but I don’t really see why — probably just because it’s new. It’s not the best Indian place in town, but for the price, it should definitely be on your lunchtime hitlist!

To be honest, we hadn’t expected much; this is not the trendiest corner of Södermalm. But the food(and we eat a lot of Indian food in Berlin, which is drowning in Indian restaurants) is top-notch. Great Tandoori chicken(sauce served on the side), a wonderful, rich Chili Chicken Balti and great Nan bread. Definitely recommended.
