We had high hopes for Hong Kong because of it’s proximity to us, the nice location on the water, and it had been recommended to us as being among the more authentic Chinese restaurants. Sadly, the dishes just didn’t satisfy like I hoped, and certain dishes, like the dumplings, were actually surprisingly bland. They had some good offerings, but the flavors were fairly standard Stockholm fare. In addition, the prices were actually quite high for what we got. On the plus side, they do offer two of my absolute favorite dishes: Hong Kong style noodles, and Peking duck with bao. They aren’t bad, but perhaps not quite worth the price tag. We’d like to go back because it’s just a nice, cozy restaurant — especially in the winter — but I think we’ll keep looking. Maybe we’ll give the dim sum a try though. Mmm. Dim sum.
