I stayed across the street at mornington Hotel and did not really have the energy to wander far. I was glad I settled in at a sidewalk table under heat lamps and a real cozy blanket. Wine was served right away, a great house syrah, but as a solo eater, I did have to wait a bit for service, though it was very friendly, quality-concerned regarding the food, and experienced solo travelers already know to wait. I ordered for app a lovely rabbit stewed with«risotto» which in actuality is a few grains of orzo, but wisely so, as the delicate rabbit could get overpowered by grains. The orzo added a very minimal and additional texture that was needed. The stewing sauce was akin to a balsamic/wine reduction. very rich, so a half order was a wise choice. It was awesome. I consider myself a well experienced eater of two particular dishes: saganaki and spaghetti carbonara. I ordered the later and am happy to report it is hands down the best carbonara I’ve had anywhere in the world. Hands down the best.

Inexpensive, somewhat boring, and ultimately mediocre Italian place with pasta and pizza variations that will make you shrug and forget the experience fairly quickly. I did like the tiramisu, but that’s hardly redeeming. Plus I’m not an objective critic of tiramisu in general.
