For those in search of an authentic French café, this is the place to go! On my first day in Stockholm, I had planned to eat here — I’d heard extremely good things about it from reviews — but unfortunately the queue was out the door, and the summer weather was too hot for me to stand waiting for long, and so I left. Finally I’ve gotten the chance to try this place for myself, and it did not disappoint. The servers are efficient and polite, and the selection of pastries, breakfast and lunch when I was there was top notch. I ordered an omelette with smoked salmon and spinach, which came with a side salad topped off with authentic dijon mustard — a rarity in Sweden. For anyone missing the flavour of France, I would certainly recommend La Petite France. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. The only warning I have is that the seating becomes quite limited at busy hours(breakfast, lunch, fika and dinner), so be sure to plan ahead. The location is in a generally quiet quarter of Kungsholmen(unfortunately there was construction going on right across when I was there, but other than that, it’s not noisy at all). Seating is mostly outdoors but also available indoors, and the outdoor tables are surprisingly well-shielded from rainstorms, as I found out by chance.

I have had the breakfast here several times. Normal coffee, a good yogurt, a small sandwich, a sweet bun and fresh orange juice. For the price of 95 sek. Not cheap but worth it for the great atmosphere and location.

I was a little worried because I told my friends we will have brunch here as it has so many positive reviews. The problem was you cannot book a table and I did not have a back up plan. Anyhow it was as predicted crowded on a cloudy Sunday. I should have known. But you come into this really cute small place with delicious looking pastries and you just got to find a table. Eventually we found a place to sit. yay! Plus: They have an outside sitting area with heaters. As well as a long queue but two cashiers so things go pretty fast I would say. Ääänd thö fränch äccänt yü hier öll thö time. haha Sorry I couldn’t help myself. I love the french accent. We had a very good time. And it’s quite affordable: breakfast package(95kr) and brunch(155kr). Would like to come here again in the summer.

A truly underrated brunch place! It’s hipster & laid back with French vibe, where you’d expect only people from the area but when we got here around 11:30 on a sunny winter Saturday, it was a long line to order! They have their own bakery so the quality of baked goods was as good as it can get. The prices are very reasonable as well! The coffee is really good & it’s a free refill too. The service was so fast & good. I liked that you didn’t need to wait to be seated also.

Good food and pastries if you choose wisely. I don’t like the lack of service and having to remind the staff to preferably not to pick the items that have obviously been out in the displays for the longest time. They have an awesome patio and its nice to retreat here after a swim by the shore, but not necessarily for someone who doesn’t want a place to park their pram for a long time.

Petit France is a genuine and pleasant café that serves breakfast, lunch and a wide variety of French breads and pastries. I have not tried their breakfast package(95SEK) or lunch yet, but only eaten their pastries and drinking their coffee. However, since I love French pastries, Petit France reaches a high position on my list over cafes in Stockholm. As soon as you step into this place you feel the French vibes as the personnel speaks with a French accent. The pastries I have tried so far are very flavoursome and the coffee is not to complain about. I can imagine that this place is highly popular amongst residents around the block who craves for a more luxurious weekend breakfast — either on site or for takeaway. The café’s facilities may appear a bit confusing at the initial point though and it could easily get a bit lively and crowded. But during summertime it’s preferable to sit outside on their leafy patio, which is a delightful place.

The baked goods here are fan-fricken’-tastic! I had the Brioche bun/desert that looked a bit like a danish pastry. Delish! Despite my Danish reference, It seems pretty authentically french up in here. It also helps that the cashier had a bit of a french accent. I think this must be one of the best places to grab a fika in the city! The other people with me got the breakfast plate for 95 kr which comes with«1 sandwich, 1 fresh pressed orange juice, 1 chouquette, yogurt with muesli and jams, [and] a cup of coffee or tea(SEK20 extra special coffee).» Which, I think was a really good deal! I also liked that there’s a lot of outdoor seating and heaters to keep you warm when the weather isn’t exactly cooperating. I will definitely be doing a repeat on this place! =)

Our local favorite bakery. They have a wide range hot foods and baked goods including real pastries, macarons, cinnamon buns, raspberry buns and sandwiches. The coffee is remarkable as well. The negative thing is that it’s always crowded with«new mums» that comes in hurdles which makes your«fika» less pleasant since babies are crying everywhere, which ruins your romantic date.

Ordered 2 sandwiches which never came. Wanted one without a sauce which was a huge task and they couldn’t accommodate. Went inside 30 min later to check on the sandwiches. Got no explanation on why they didn’t come. Waited another 15 – 20 min for the wrong sandwiches to show up. Appearantly Madame and Monsieur are easy to mix up. Then came the coffee. Or so we thought. One latte had no coffee in it. Been here before will likely not come back.

What a wonderful place to settle for brunch! I first just have to say that I had the best hot chocolate that I had ever yet had in the world here. I must learn the secret, but it is a cup of warm, rich, thick chocolate magic that you pair with the cooled complementary cream. I don’t think I was even able to concentrate on the rest of food after, it was so delicious. But anyways, my next favorite thing was the chicken liver terrine. Paired with the served bread, I would have been very happy with just this order :) The salad and croque monsieur were great too, some heavy for my taste but made my taste buds very happy.

I am truly in love with his place! I was only in Sweden for a week, and on our last day I realized I had not had a Croque Monsieur. Not only was it absolutely delicious, the wonderful gentleman working made it for me before the bistro hours had begun. I was heading to the airport, and he was so nice to help me out. It was delicious!

I am French, and going there reminds me of home! Not home exactly, because I am from Paris, but it smells like the little bakeries and cafés from the south, that smell so good, always full with people, with some decoration made 90% out of food boxes or bottles or packages… I had pains au chocolat many times and enjoyed every single one of them. I also tried 2 of their macarons and Omg! Do try the chocolate one and the caramel one. They have lunch too, a bit overpriced I think, but then again as a french I compare the price to back home. For Stockholm, and for being such a popular and hipster place, it’s actually Ok! Have a croque monsieur there. Please do!

Great place for a breakfast, before 11:00 it’s the breakfast package and after it’s another menu. Great desserts and fantastic croc monsieur/madame. Can be crowded, but lots of seats with heaters outside and in total probably 60 seats maybe. Employees usually speaks French, so excellent to work on your speech. ;)

Fresh bread and pastry of the highest quality! Croissants taste exactly the way that if you would have them in France, crusty, fresh, tasty and with thousands of dough layers. Good place for Sunday brunch after a party Saturday night.

New management but still the high quality patisserie-gone-bistro we are used to. Perfect breakfast and very good main courses. French(and english of course) speaking personnel. Always very crowded so expect a wait. I prefer to come here summertime as the interior is somewhat cramped.
