Great microbrewery that offers a variety of nice beers. We have been there a couple of times and were always met with good service and happy employees. The dinner menu is quite short but changes a lot and that makes it always quite fun to try out new dishes. In general a good experience, a bit overpriced from my perspective.

Walked in here over the weekend for a couple beers and ended up staying most of the day. Staff is super friendly and definitely knows their beer/food. Tried most of the beers — favs were the Primus Lux, Amber, and the Saison. During the summer they have an outside patio that overlooks the water. The weather was cold and rainy when I was in Stockholm but on a nice day I bet it’s a blast to sit outside and drink.

They’ve only been open for about 4 months, and it was worth the trip out to Luma for this lovely craft beer brewery with a restaurant and pub on the side. The beer is excellent, and we had an excellent and knowledgeable waiter who was able to recommend beer pairings with our meal. Beers are strong, but very tasty, staff attentive but never intrusive, meals were excellent, and perfectly proportioned. Lagom!

Finally a nice microbrewery in Stockholm! Keeping this review short & to the point. I had a few beers & food on one of the hottest summer days. + Beautiful location in Hammarby Sjöstad by the water with an outside deck + Good beers, some of which you can’t buy elsewhere. Pretty expensive though at 68: — for 0.4L(July 2014) + Food was awesome had the wild boar sausage(locally produced) with a great potato salad + Good service — The location is also a minus. The good part above is completely weather dependent and renders this a summer place. Hammarby Sjöstad is also not the easiest place to get to, especially in relation to how close it is to the city(due to water) Didn’t do a tour tho. Saving that for the winter :) Recommended place!

Excellent new microbrewery and restaurant in Hammarbyhamnen neighborhood(South of Sodermalm). A collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery, they brew several core beers, plus a selection of seasonals. 1. The beer — from the core lineup, winner has the JACK, a session strength IPA that goes down so well on a warm day. Also top marks to their witbier, which was also very refreshing. 2. The food — sausage was tasty. Potato salad was superb. The deep fried pork was interesting, but I wouldn’t repeat order. Smoked peanuts were also tasty, though one has to ask why season the shells of a peanut? 3. The venue — AMAZING! Easily the selling point. Beautiful beer garden right on the water. Lots of tables, outdoor bar. Really can’t say enough about how wonderful and relaxing it was. Drawbacks: price. Like most places in stockholm, your wallet really feels the visit here. Lunch plus beer sampler plus 2x glasses(they don’t don’t do pints) of beer set us back SEK780(about $ 115 or £70). Definitely worth it, but not an every day event. Overall: if you’re a fan of great beer and nice scenery experienced simultaneously, a definite must in Stockholm.

I’m only a mild fan of Brooklyn Brewery in the US, but since moving to Vienna, I’ll take what I can get. Since I found myself in Stockholm, I had to stop by Brooklyn’s new location, Nya Carnegiebryggeriet, in collaboration with Carlsberg. We sat outside for drinks, and didn’t eat. But the beer was spot on(though expensive.) Kellerbier was light and refreshing and my favorite by far was the witbier. We wanted, however, to try the Saison, however, we got a wheat offer instead(mixed up taps?) Its not the most convent place to get too, but either is Brooklyn Brewery, so it fits. Train, bus, boat — but worth the trip.

The brewery and restaurant in Hammarby Sjöstad(suburb to Stockholm) is collaboration between Carlsberg and Brooklyn Brewery. It is no surprise that Brooklyn Brewery looks to Sweden when they wish to open production outside the states. Sweden is their second biggest market behind the US and I must admit I have occasionally helped with the consumption of a few myself so I was intrigued to see what they managed to do here. The location is by the water across from Södermalm so a very nice and relaxed setting. Unfortunately the outdoor terrace is not yet open and that adds to the feeling that they are not yet fully ready. The whole place is also much smaller than I would have expected, maybe 35 or so seats for dinner and then a bar section. We had made reservations and were there on time — had to wait for our table to be ready though so seems popular. I was most intrigued by the beer but I was also looking forward to some of the food and I had checked out the menu before on the web site and decided on what I wanted. Unfortunately the menu on the web site is not what is served — they change dishes now and then and according to our waiter they just did not have a good process for updating the web site(can see that it still today more than a week after is still not updated so some work to do). Slightly annoying since the things I wanted were no longer offered. Still managed to find some nice dishes though. We had the fried pork puck with pickles– deliciously unhealthy, could have had more of those. The deviled chicken hearts were pretty decent but from the snack section the chili and duck fat roasted peanuts can be skipped. It sounded great but was just messy and rather bland. For the mains we had the lamb with wild garlic and morels which was really great, the meat was tender and the dish was very fresh and flavorful. Opinions were a bit split on the size of the dish but in my view a full size main. We additionally had the pork with smoked barley and onions which was also a very well made dish. Perhaps not the same hit as the lamb but I would still consider order it again. After all the food we were a bit stuffed but could not skip desserts as we had seen so many nice looking desserts coming to the other tables. All of us actually got the maple cake with vanilla ice cream so that is the only one I can say anything about it but it was really great — do not make the mistake of sharing. You want it all for yourself! Looking at the food I would consider giving the place a solid 4 despite the service being a bit slow and the issues with the menu on the web site. We did however mainly come here for the beer and there I must say it was pretty disappointing. We tried most of the beer and many of them were not bad but still nothing special. The Amber Ale came recommended by many of the staff and for me it was decent but not something I felt like ordering again. The J.A.C.K. which is IPA and I loved the idea of making an IPA with lower alcohol levels but it just did not deliver flavor wise. The same for one of the other beers I tried(that had the J.A.C.K. as the base) so after a while I just settled for the Kellerbier which was also not exciting but very refreshing. I realize that they are just getting started but on the beer side they really need to up their game if they are going to be a place I come for exciting beer. For me this is no way near being able to compete with the quality of beer served at for example Mikkeller or Brew Dog. If they improve the beer selection, get the service flowing a bit better they will definitely do well. I also think they should reconsider the ‘we do not serve any wine’-rule they have. I understand that they are a brewery but it would not hurt to have a few options for people with gluten allergy. Still worth a visit as is though and I will probably come back a few times to check on the progress.
