This is your typical hole in the wall restaurant with good food. Located in Söder off of the beaten path but those in the know dine here. I met a friend for lunch here as we like to try out new places. It was very busy at lunch time with a line out the door. They were very quick in getting people in and out. I was suprised at how quickly my food came. I don’t really know specifically what I ordered, but it was a chicken with rice dish. It was very tasty and one of their daily specials. The price was very reasonable for lunch and the portion size was large. All in all, this was a great find and a go to for a quick and filling lunch.

Not the Phở that you are thinking of. When I travel I like to try all one phở place and see how that city compares to all other Phos in the world. I’ve tried phở in Canada, Paris, England, Boston, Copenhagen + more and wherever I can one. From all the phở places, I must say Nem Nem doesn’t do phở justice. It’s not even phở. The broth is nothing like what you get from any phở place ever. I think they use chicken broth? It tasted like a broth in a Hu Tieu not a Phở. We were very disappointed. We were hoping it tasted like a phở place we tried in Copenhagen. It wasn’t bad though, just not phở like you think of «phở». But it’s what you need on a cold rainy day in Stockholm…

I have been here twice. The first time I had Phở soup which I have had many times– this was the most expensive I have ever seen it and the least tasty– bad value for money so I would not recommend that– sad because it is such a traditional cheap dish– a staple in most vietnamese places. The second time was better and I ordered a shrimp«pancake» as a starter– we were 10 people and my starter was the only one worth the 90 kr high price tag. Everyone else had 2 tiny rolls on their plate. The main dishes are lots of wok dishes like any other asian– nothing special but good– except the citrus marinated pork my friend had which was very tasty.

Sorry I’m still getting use to how expensive it is here in Stockholm but $ 20 for a bowl of Ph? I’m Vietnamese and I was craving it so my boyfriend and I decided to stop by for some food. I am glad the owners are Vietnamese and it’s so cute that they are wearing the traditional áo dài. The broth was good but some major ingredients were missing… cilantro, bean sprouts, tendon, flack, brisket, tripe — oh you know, all the good stuff that gives the other great flavors and texture this dish is supposed to have. Also the beef wasn’t even right. Sigh… so sad and disappointed. My boyfriend had the bun thit nuong cha gio and he said it was okay… the meat was good and marinated but could do without the cha gio.

One of my favorite Asian restaurants in Stockholm. It is located on a side street from the busy Gotgatan at Sodermalm in Stockholm so it is central yet somewhere many people do not venture. They serve excellent and decently authentic Vietnamese food(the owners are actually Vietnamese which is not always the case). It is nowadays extremely popular so may not always be easy to get a seat here. The set menus are a great way to get to know Vietnamese cuisine so if you are new to it try a set menu or ask the staff for recommendations. The Banh Xeo is excellent as well as the papaya salad. I am not that fond of desserts at most Asian restaurants and this is no exception but that has more to do with personal preference than the quality of the desserts here — my fiancée really liked the Banh gan(like a Vietnamese Crème Caramel).
