Napolyon

The food was perfect, myself and my friends enjoyed our dishes. The ambience leaves something to be desired though. In such a neighborhood where restaurants are all over, it’s nice to go to a place where you feel a buzz around you, but you’re not hard-​pressed to keep a conversation going between you and your company. I will likely return for the aspect of food alone, but as another Unilocaler had mentioned; it is a rather unmemorable experience.

We stopped here because I had an emergency work phone call, and I wanted my partner to be happy during the call. But this random stop was an excellent find.
The Swedish beer selection was quite small, but they had lots of other things. And the food was fantastic.
The escargot was the best my partner has had (and we have had them in France and many other places). He absolutely adores escargots.
I loved the oysters. Quite delightful. I only got two, but I was wanting more.
Except we were saving room for the next course, Mussels Mariniere. We very much enjoyed them, as well as the bread we dipped in the sauce (which comes in a cute little bag). Super yummy, although we were eating outside and the cold weather made them cool before we finished (so maybe sit inside).
But outside has its benefits. We saw a large number of dogs (which we love). And we got to people watch. Swedish people as a whole are excellent dressers, so we were able to evaluate clothing on live models that we were thinking about purchasing earlier today (and tomorrow).

Unmemorable, even after repeated visits.

I had booked a table for two for lunch at Napolyon, which had recently opened. It was busy and VERY crowded but other than that, the interior was very pleasant.
We were seated by the window, and had to really struggle to get into out seats (that’s how crowded it was). The sofa we sat in had a broken back which we were reminded of constantly as it is quite natural to lean back at times… Irritating.
Our waiter was overly friendly and made quite a big deal out of giving us menus, taking orders and serving. I had the steak tartare, with some alterations (I ordered 200g for 50 SEK extra, and a big salad rather than fries) that caused no problems.
The food arrived within reasonable time. The steak was in the french form of a ready-​blended patty (I prefer the neat and clean kind), similar to the one at Bistro Berns. The taste was good and fresh. I appreciated that the meat was cool, not cold — nice!
So, plus for the food and minus for the crowd!
