Magnusson Fine Wine

Magnussson is a private wine cellar at Östermalm. To have access one either has to be a member or know someone who is a member and who is willing to bring you along. The membership is not cheap but it does come with some nice perks. In addition to the storage of wine in their cellar it also gives access to the premises. They have a nice tasting room downstairs as well as a bar with several tables as well as a small chambre séparée.
On Friday’s and Saturdays they offer nice champagne tastings. There is a different house represented every week and the tasting includes three or four champagnes from the house. On Friday’s there is also always a representative of the importer present to provide information about the producer and the wines. The prices of the tastings are often very attractive and the wines served are usually some of their nice vintages as well. To make things even better it is also possible to order food from a few of the restaurants nearby (for example Speceriet) and have in the bar. Of course it is also possible to enjoy your own wines while eating.
They do also have other very nice tastings and also great pop-​up dinners, just a few examples of what resturants that have have been there recently are Gastrologik, Restaurang Ekstedt, Oaxen, Daniel Berlin, Skåné-​Tranås, Matstudion Adam & Albin and soon Punk Royale will make a guest appearance. I have not been a member but my Christmas present to myself this year is a membership.
