I’ve been twice at la Habana. First time just for an afterwork glass of wine. The interior is pretty cosy and the menu sounds really interesting and I just couldn’t wait to go back to try it out. We started with some appetizers and the garlic bread was a joke, the swans in the park get better stuff. Four tiny slices of unfresh baguette with no real flavour. Serrano ham was ok but nothing special. The mains were pretty tasty, but they didn’t live up to their description in the menu. i didn’t really understand why iceberg salad took most of the space on the plate. Portions were tiny. We were all still hungry after the meal. The waiter didn’t warn us or suggest that we should order some extra side dishes. We came on a rather cold day and we got a tiny table by a freezing window, we sat in our jackets and even though we asked if we could get another table, but with no luck. The good part was the red wine that in this cold temperature seemed to taste perfect. Service was bad, we never got the check and because we were freezing we paid at the bar and left looking for a place where we could eat something and warm up a bit after this unfortunate experience. What a shame. The place has a potential but whoever runs it just doesn’t care about all the small things that actually really matter.

I went here for dinner with my family. The service was very good for being Stockholm actually! The waiter was funny and nice. We all ate meat, and it was nicely served by the chef on a hot stone. The chef explained that we could leave the meat on the stone for a while if we would prefer it more cooked. Pretty clever! And the food tasted very good. The only bad thing about this place is the location. It’s right by a heavily trafficked road with many motor bikes, which makes it very loud in the outside seating area. But overall a nice dinner experience!
