We shopped here during a sabbatical in Stockholm. Four stars because layout can be confusing as well as simple things like when something is marked «2 for», can I cut the price in half if I need one? Also you need to convert metric to pounds and SEK to U.S. dollars to be certain that you are not paying $ 30 a pound for strawberries. But nice store, clean, good selection, helpful employees. Be adventurous and go out of your comfort zone. I love fil milk on wonderful Swedish muesli and intend to put some in my very small suitcase. Bread was wonderful. So was the frozen Princess Cake. Swedish ice cream is wonderful but no freezer in our apartment. Hubby and I will have ice cream for dinner some day soon. I watch what the natives buy and so far it has served me well. They take U.S. credit cards.

We always try and stop into a local supermarket after landing in a foreign country. It helps us get acquainted with the ‘local’ price structure.
The ICA supermarket chain is conveniently located around the city, and provides all of the staple items one would need. We often stopped in for bottled waters, small snacks to keep on hand, and something unique to Scandinavia — ‘Tube Food’.
Our dogs are just raving about the «Bacon Ost».
Internet WIFI access is available if requested.
