There is nothing much happening here, but a cute street market with fruits, vegetables and lots of kantareller (Swedish mushroom). You should come by, take some photos and see for yourself how quiet Swedish street markets are (I was impressed).
On the same square there is the National Theater where they held most of the Nobel Awards, and the PUB store. It’s a landmark, but to be honest there is nothing very impressing about it. I guess Swedes use it more like a central meeting point than anything else.

Beautiful flowers, fresh fruits and veggies along with a plethora of knock-off accessories! The stands are a great assortment of exactly what you’d expect from this kind of thing. Sometimes a bit awkward because each stand *really* wants you to buy from them (whistling /yelling for attention and stuff as others have posted) but overall, worth the visit and if you’re in need of a cheap new accessory (especially sunglasses, purses and wallets), definitely check it out.

It’s a bit obnoxious when you walk through here — you get whistled and yelled at by all the guys working the stands — as they try to get you too buy their apples instead of the next guys.

Hier waren wir durch Zufall auf dem Markt und waren entzückt von dem großen und bunten Angebot der angebotenen Waren. Hier geht’s lustig und kunterbunt zu, sodass es einem auch beim puren Schlendern nicht langweilig wird.

Für mich ist der Heumarkt (Hötorget) der schönste Platz Stockholms, ich könnte (wenn ich denn könnte) stundenlang hier sitzen und dem bunten Treiben zuschauen. Wirklich einen Abstecher wert.
Der regelmäßige Gemüsemarkt hier ist laut, farbenfroh und angenehm unnordisch — schwierig, nichts zu kaufen, da man massiv von südländischen Marktschreiern bedrängt wird.
Exkurs: Im benachbarten Kaufhaus ‘pub’ hat Greta Garbo als Verkäuferin gearbeitet!
