Hard to believe, but one of the best sushi places in Stockholm is hidden away in the back of the K25 food court. I haven’t tried their rolls, but the sashimi and nigiri from this place is top notch and an exceptional value. They make everything to order, so it can be slow during the lunch rush, but well worth the wait.

Good sushi, above average. Asked for custom content, no problem, same price. This place is in K25, at the far back.

After a couple of recent trips to Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York I have a rekindled passion for sushi, particularly the awesome selection of innovative rolls available in these US citizens. In my hunt for good rolls in Stockholm(not that easy), I stumbled upon Hattori Sushi Devil in the K25 food court while doing some lunch Christmas shopping. I was intrigued by the few but interestsing rolls on the menu, but most of them are around 180SEK — a bit too expensive for a food court lunch. I tried the relatively inexpensive Shake Furai(125SEK, only a more traditional salmon roll was less expensive): tempura deep fried with salmon, avocado and goghojan(?) sauce. My expectations were immediately lowered by the plastic cup of(complimentary) miso soup, the plastic tray the roll was served on and the fact that the roll came out immediately, indicating that it was already made before ordered. The miso soup wasn’t to my liking. Too much fish taste and long strings of something that made it difficult to sip. From reading other reviews it might be a preference. I was positively surprised by the crunchiness of the roll — it wasn’t tempura fried salmon, instead the whole roll was tempura fried. There were big pieces of tasty salmon and perfect texture avocado. The roll was served with an abundance of nice and hot chili mayo. I came after the lunch rush, but service was efficient. I liked the interior of the food court, with the cool«stadium stand» seating towards the inner wall. Maybe it’s noisier around peak lunch time though.

Wow, the tempurafried makirolls with tuna blew my mind! So excited to see my favorite Japanese beer, Real Ginger Ale from Hitachino as well! The staff was competent, informative & service-minded. I’ll be back!
