sometimes you enter a place you really really want to like. The appetizer was amazing. I liked the place. The staff seemed a bit un-interested sitting with their phones, but still friendly. I ordered some sort of mix. It had some good flavours but overall it was a disappointment. Very little meat, a lot of sauce. It didnt fit me at all. And I couldnt stand the bread.

God food for a good price. Friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere. The only downside is that there was no real choice of beer, only standard«stor stark».

Very nice experience for me. This restaurant is placed central but yet almost hidden! We got there around 7:30 and the place was almost full but we got a table. I liked the dining area. Fresh, renovated, clean, airy and smoothly lighted, plus African music of course! Loved the food. Strongly spiced, keep yourself away if you are not a fan of chili and cumin. We got a mixed dish with beef, lamb, chicken and lentil and I fell in love lentil thing. Very special bread, nothing that I had tried before. I was not sure about eating with hand but it went well, a new experience! The winner of the night was the Ethiopian coffee. What a fresh and smooth taste! With touch of cardamom. Nicely served. & popcorn! Surprise! The noise level is lower than many other places. It was possible to talk without shouting. But if you are after a place to seat and drink, this is not the right place. You have a drink menu but no space as a «bar» And not to forget, very nice and friendly personnel, ready to explain the details on food and coffee for you, just ask.

I was here this weekend. It was very very crowded, which is a good sign. We booked a table before and were placed downstairs, where the ambiente was different(I think downstairs is also used for events because I saw some big spot lights on the ceiling) Either way, it was also good to sit downstairs as we could have conversations without having to scream at each other. Except us there were a few other sitting downstairs. Well, most of us had not eaten Ethiopian food before so we knew its gonna be different from what we usually eat. The staff was very friendly and quick with everything. So I ate lamb stew, which was severed with a small salat and bread. The bread was the coolest thing I have ever seen. It was flat like pancake, it had almost the texture of pancake one side had like the pattern of a sponge. Really cool. And mixing lamp and bread was very interesting. I am a person who doesn’t like when I have bone pieces still connected to meat or any sort of remains of fat from the meat, which was the case. I am sure this is a typical way of serving the food also if my mum cooks turkish she does the same. So I am kind of used to it but not necessary like it. And one of my friends actually ask the waiter for something different because she couldn’t eat it like that not because it wasn’t good. It was good. But as I said some people are used to having meat neatly cut etc. Either way it was a very good experience. If you love love Ethiopian food I guess this is worth the visit.

Tasty Ethiopian food, frequented by Ethiopians in Stockholm. As one of the Swedish reviewers wrote, it feels like you’re at some type of a group meeting — so many people recognize and greet one another. The décor is completely uninspired, unlike Gojo on Söder, for example. We ordered the dinner«buffet’, which consisted of 8 dishes in bowls and injera rolled up and served on a plate. Some of the dishes tasted pretty authentic, but the Ikea dishes(we have the same lovely set at home!) tainted the experience a bit. Other tables had the more traditional round shared platters, and it was unclear to me why some had it and others didn’t.
