Filthy, disgusting place with rude baristas. Visiting from New York. Tried one of their hot drinks at another location and it was good and hunted down another location near where I was to get out of the cold and a hot latte. Grabbed some seats by the window which are quite worn out and the table had garbage and cups piled all over it. I asked Rasmusen the Barista if someone could clean it off and he said sorry they are too busy and I can either bring all the garbage up to the front or just pick it up and move it to another table. I didn’t know I was an Espresso House employee. Took one and a half hours before they got around to cleaning the tables. Place was not busy for the majority of the time I was here.

Der Café ist gut, egal wo man bei dieser Kette einkehrt. Die Food-Angebote sollte man sich aber genau ansehen … denn nicht alles ist wirklich so gut wie es aussieht. Die Preise sind schwedengerecht hoch.

Bagel sandwich was excellent and the coffee is pretty good. There is plenty of seating and the atmosphere is overall relaxing.

This is Stockholm’s(or Sweden’s) Starbucks. They’re everywhere! Smartly, minimally decorated. Areas where there’s comfy upholstered seating arranged in conversational groups, counter space, areas for sitting solo with your laptop, and outside seating, too. Coffee drinks to be drunk on the premises are served in crockery. The pastries(at this unit anyway) are ordinary and not much of a selection.(which is the case usually at Starbucks at home in the US).

While visiting Stockholm we stopped at espresso house to take a break, and it was a good stop. Coffee is good, and the ambience makes you want to stop for a while.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere: rustic interior, tall bar chairs, soft armchairs and massive windows to do you people watching. I know it’s a chain in Sweden, but they are lucky people Swedes! To have delicious food(including your usual breakfast yogurts, pastries etc) served up all around your capital city is awesome.

I am big fan of Starbucks but frankly speaking Espersso house is much better. if you plan to go there frequently then i recommend you to get a membership card so you can get 10% or 20% discount if you takeaway. Coffee is great and sandwiches as well.

Quite good! You’ll find Espresso House shops all over Stockholm and I won’t be the first to tell you that they’re all absolutely worth a pop by. They have delicious salads and my personal favorite – cappuccinos for take away(or perhaps a lovely little morning in, considering this specific location is a great spot to lounge around in the wee hours of the morning). Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Realy nice place. Great interior and of course excellent coffee. Quite busy, but there’s enough room. Somehow wifi was slow and unreliable. Definitely will return here next time I’m in Stockholm.

This is probably one of the bigger and greater Espresso House cafes in Stockholm. The location is superb, it has great interior design, comfortable chairs and sofas to sit on, free Wi-Fi, places to charge your electronic devices and a great selection of beverages. What more do you need? There is simply everything you need in a coffee shop that is relatively low priced. This is absolutely one of my favorite coffee shops in town when I want to sit down and chat with my friends.

Great coffee-shop. Free Wi-Fi, power outlets and lots of comfy chairs. Make sure you try their ice-Frapinos during the summer. Caramel and strawberry/White chocolate are the best imho.

I agree with the other reviewer. Brewed coffee is better than Starbuck’s and pretty good considering it is a chain. This location is conveniently adjacent to the Nordic Light Hotel where I have just brought a large and badly needed coffee back to the room.(For reference, I’m a fan of Peets, Blue Bottle and Ritual Roasting Co, back home in San Francisco — all of which I would rather have, but like I said, this is a chain, and for a chain, it is definitely superior to Starbucks. Also, they have some tables outside which is also nice, this being mid-May. Not giving it a four as the mozzarella chicken sandwich(warmed up in panini grill) was not so good. Stick to the coffee!

Some have called Espresso House for the Swedish equivalent of Starbucks but those people know nothing about coffee. Espresso House have actually since they initiated their cooperation with roaster Johan & Nyström started delivering some pretty decent coffee(unlike the awful stuff that Starbucks refer to as coffee). Espresso House have 4 unique brews developed by Johan & Nyström — my favorite is the Nicaraguan ‘La Fatima’. Espresso House is a chain so quality can vary but get a cup of brewed coffee is usually a pretty safe bet and the price level is pretty decent and buying the beans to take home is excellent value. Comparing to the other chains in Sweden(Coffehouse by George and Roberts Coffee) Espresso House is however far superior. The food and cookies and those things are standard for café chains so nothing to get excited about.
