Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and well-kept. WiFi is free, though spotty throughout certain parts of the building. It’s a solid blend of price and convenience. Its location is close to mass transit stops, and it has a taxi stand outside. The adjunct restaurant, The Bishop’s Arms, has sit-down dining, takeout, weekday room service, and reasonably-priced pub fare. Overall, my wife and I were pleased with our 6-night stay.

Pas mal comme hôtel, le petit déjeuner est bien copieux et les chambres sont confortables. Par contre je vous conseil une chambre avec fenêtre.

I disagree with much of the Mathias reviewer wrote, but perhaps the hotel has improved since that review was written. The hotel has an incredible breakfast with lots of options and the room has many tables. We stayed for two weeks and always found the breakfast a big treat(example: eggs in 3 different types, caviar, 2 types of herring, pickled cucumbers, Swedish pancakes, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, cooked veggies, bread rolls, croissants, yummy(!) breads/crackers, yogurts, sliced meats, cheeses, fruit preserves, cookies, lots of cereals, dried fruits, juices, coffee, tea). The staff was very attentive and tried to be helpful when we asked for recommendations. I wish the gym was included in the price, but it’s not a deal-breaker that it wasn’t. Big minus was the lack of wifi-internet connection at the gym. The bathroom needs updating, was a bit nerve-wrecking getting out of the wet tub – there are no handles to grab onto and the door isn’t helpful as it is made of glass and seemed delicate. Not having A/C was expected and it wasn’t a big deal once we opened the windows. Although a fan would be good. The nights are quiet, so not a big problem to have windows open. The windows had black-out curtains so that was great. The décor was fine and was contemporary modern. Bed was comfy.

I stayed a weekend at the Elite Palace Hotel recently. The location is decent, around 8 – 10 minutes away from the closest subway station St Eriksplan. There is a bus stop on the route from the airport so it is the easiest way to reach to hotel if arriving to Arlanda airport. We got a very low price(around € 120 for 2 nights with breakfast for 2 people) so I was expected to be put in a pretty small room but did not really see it as a problem. When checking in we were offered to upgrade for an additional € 10 a night but declined(not intending to spend much time in the room). The room was of course pretty small but what worse was that it was in bad need of a renovation. The carpet had a very much 80s feel to it and the bathroom was decorated in dark green and all the furniture was slightly old and worn. The big exception was the bed and that was, as a fem other reviewers noted, very comfortable. The room did however have a stuffy feel to it. There was also a lack of proper a/c so it was necessary to have to windows open to get some fresh and cool air. I could have lived with the poor choice of color of the bathroom however there were a few other issues. The water pressure was not the best and the hot water kept varying in strength and heat. A bit annoying was also the fact that the cleaning staff forgot to replace/refill shampoo and soap. There is free wireless Internet available but it is necessary to ask for a login details at the front desk. The staff at the front desk were in general helpful but they appeared a but understaffed so there was some waiting times once again. The main thing that was a disappointment was however the breakfast. First of all the room for breakfast was overcrowded. Not that uncommon on weekends perhaps but the food was truly awful — the coffee was undrinkable, the bread dry and most things had a very cheap and synthetic feel to it.
