Scandic Malmen is reallllly popular… and I’ve never really understood why. ‘Tis nice, I guess. I mean, there are plenty of places to sit(whether you’re here for drinks, AW, clubbing, or whatever), and there’s usually quite a good, mixed crowd. But it’s also usually too loud, even early in the evening, and the staff aren’t very friendly. All three times I’ve been there I felt like the waiters and bartenders were giving us dirty looks anytime we asked anything. The last time I was there we had a cider, a beer, a crème brûlée, and a pear sorbet — which totalled at nearly 300kr. It was all great — you can get local brews here and the crème brûlée was delicious — but it’s still not great value. Not bad place if you’re looking to chill with a drink on Söder, but not out of this world either.
